Looking for help/advice

Hello to everyone. I just bought a pair of SVS PB2000 subs. I'm trying to learn how to use REW so I can tune them into my home theater room better. After reading the instruction PDF file I believe I have all the preferences set up correctly. These are my preliminary readings shown in the overlay PNG image. The information shown is all Greek to me so any help and critiquing is appreciated. I have attached a front view of my system, an overlay PNG image and the test file itself. Let me explain what I did to start this.

• I’m using my desktop Win 11 Pro PC.
• I have 2 HDMI connections that I can use. One is on the motherboard and would use Intel sound drivers. The second is on my AMD graphics card and uses AMD sound drivers. I used the AMD HDMI connection out to my Marantz SR7012 AVR. Was this a wrong choice? Should I have used the Intel HDMI out and sound drivers.
• When I started I followed the instructions in the “REW 101 HTS Current Version – Getting Started with REW” PDF to the letter. I know there are no enhancements on in Windows 11.
• I installed the latest version of ASIO4ALL.2.15_Beta3. This added 8 HD Audio HDMI out selections in the Output Box. See the snapshot. Selection #4 sends a signal to both subs only. This was my choice when I ran the tests. I turned off the RH sub and ran the test for the LH sub. Then repeated the process for the RH sub. Then I ran a third test with BOTH subs turned on. Was this incorrect?
• Was I supposed to select a Loopback Input? My only selection shown is the Umik-1. I didn’t select anything.
• This is how I arrived at this point. What were my mistakes? I'm really trying to do this right.

TBH I didn't read through this post because REW settings were not causing the problem with the measurement in the OP.
The problem is most likely Windows Setting for the Microphone and most likely as described in the link on my earlier post.
I think once this is resolved you'll find the subs are actually measuring quite well. We'll see.

Here's what I discovered. My PC was setup correctly. The problem I believe was in my AVR. I left th Multi EQ XT32 on and turned off the Dynamic EQ. I then took these measurements. To my untrained eye these look a sho-huff lot better and more what I thought I would see. Are we in agreement?

Not saying it's not the cause. I just can't see it. I don't use Audyssey, but it's hard to understand the purpose of a feature that eviscerates the bass.

Absolutely.

What smoothing was applied, if any?

In REW there's a camera icon top left side of every chart. Click it and you can include the chart legend with the smoothing used, as well as a tile and notes. For subwoofer range frequencies typically no smoothing or psycho-acoustic smoothing which doesn't smooth the subwoofer range.

So this leaves me wondering what did I actually accomplish. What do theses measurements show? It would be really nice if I could smooth the blue curve between 37Hz and 85Hz; Also the red curve between 50HZ and 120Hz. What is the next step in determining how to naturally smooth these curves?

Hopefully someone familiar with Audyssey will chime in and help with that. Maybe you can use the Audyssey app or if not a miniDSP could be used.

Smoothing the individual responses will likely result in a worse combined response and the combined response is very smooth already. Some prefer more of a boost at the low end. Your response most resembles a good sealed sub roll-off already.

The SVS PB2000 is a ported (4") sub.
It would be greatly appreciated if @John Mulcahy could drop in an offer some expertise. I'm sure he could clear away some of the smoke.

I want to amend my post, #6.
When I turned off D-EQ I started to get graphs that showed the subs starting at 70dB/15Hz. I have since run some tests with D-EQ on and I still get similar results with a full rang on both axis. Turning the D-EQ off and on triggered something that allowed REW to get the proper data. Just mentioning this for future references.
