(June 21, 2026) Focal is pushing its active loudspeaker ambitions to even greater heights with the introduction of Diva Alta Utopia, a new flagship wireless loudspeaker system that combines the company's latest acoustic technologies with Naim electronics and a fully connected streaming platform. Designed and manufactured in France, the new model joins the Diva Utopia family as its most ambitious offering to date, building upon the foundation established by Diva Utopia in 2024 and Diva Mezza Utopia in 2025.

Like its siblings, Diva Alta Utopia is an active, connected, all-in-one stereo system crafted to deliver reference-level performance without external amplification, source components, or complex installation. Onboard streaming support includes Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Qobuz, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Bluetooth, UPnP, and other popular platforms, allowing owners to access music from virtually any modern source.

The speaker's physical design draws inspiration from Focal's iconic Grande Utopia loudspeaker, borrowing several core acoustic principles while translating them into a contemporary active platform. The four-way architecture incorporates seven drivers in total, including a dedicated bass-midrange driver and four side-mounted woofers arranged in a push-push configuration. This approach delviers substantial bass output while minimizing unwanted cabinet vibration. The speaker's geometry also incorporates the company's Focus Time philosophy, which ensures that sound from each driver arrives at the listening position properly aligned for optimized imaging and soundstage precision.

A headline development is the debut of Focal's new PRISM tweeter technology. More than two decades after introducing its renowned beryllium tweeter, Focal says PRISM is a significant new chapter in the company's pursuit of sonic performance. Combining a multi-material substrate with an advanced micro-structuring process designed to optimize rigidity, damping, and lightness, PRISM achieves greater rigidity than beryllium while maintaining the characteristics necessary for highly accurate high-frequency reproduction. The tweeter also benefits from the company's Infinite Acoustic Loading (IAL) technology, which manages acoustic pressure behind the dome to reduce resonance and distortion.

Diva Alta Utopia also introduces Focal's M-profile W midrange driver to the Diva lineup, leveraging carbon reinforcement for improved rigidity and performance. Elsewhere, Focal's long-standing W-cone technology and Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) suspension system continue to play important roles in controlling distortion and preserving detail throughout the frequency range.

Power comes from a Class AB amplification platform delivering 600 watts per speaker across four dedicated amplifier channels. Digital processing is handled through Naim's Pulse Platform, which supports audio up to 384kHz/32-bit resolution. And Ultra Wideband (UWB) wireless technology manages communication between speakers, allowing wireless playback at quality levels that exceed CD resolution. For owners wanting maximum performance, a supplied high-resolution cable enables playback up to 192kHz/24-bit between channels.

Additional technologies include ADAPT room optimization, onboard DSP processing, an advanced DAC architecture, and thermal management systems designed to maintain consistent performance at elevated listening levels.

Visually, Diva Alta Utopia carries the unmistakable styling cues of Focal's Utopia family while embracing a more contemporary aesthetic. Interchangeable floating side panels allow owners to change the speaker's appearance without replacing the cabinet itself, with options including felt finishes and several high-gloss lacquer treatments. Focal says every finish is handcrafted in its Bourgogne workshop, with five launch options: Grey Felt, Ivory Felt, Black High Gloss, Off-White High Gloss, and Dune High Gloss.

The Focal Diva Alta Utopia will be available beginning in August 2026 through authorized Focal Powered by Naim retailers. Pricing is set at $210,000 USD per pair, with Canadian pricing listed at $260,000 CAD.
