(June 4, 2026) To mark its 80th anniversary, Klipsch is releasing a limited-edition version of its Klipschorn, one of the most iconic speakers in its history and, remarkably, the oldest loudspeaker still in continuous production.

Making its debut at High End Vienna 2026, the Limited Edition 80th Anniversary Klipschorn draws inspiration from Paul W. Klipsch's original patented two-way design while adding visual flourishes that are impossible to ignore. Finished in richly figured Tigerwood veneer and accented with brass inlays that trace the contours of its folded horn, the speaker looks every bit like the centerpiece of a dedicated listening room. The design also incorporates a sandcast aluminum horn and continues Klipsch's tradition of book-matched veneers, ensuring each speaker mirrors its partner's grain pattern.

While the original Klipschorn has naturally evolved into a three-way design, this anniversary edition returns to its two-way roots. It does so armed with a newly developed K-5-K high-frequency horn that's paired with a 4" compression driver and motor technology borrowed from the company's flagship Jubilee loudspeaker. Bass duties are handled by the Klipschorn's famous folded-horn cabinet and a 15" woofer designed to deliver the effortless dynamics and efficiency that have defined the model for generations.

Included with the system is an external DSP-based active crossover finished to match the speakers. Beyond simply dividing frequencies among drivers, the processor manages phase alignment, time delay, EQ, and gain adjustments to optimize performance and improve integration between the speaker's low- and high-frequency sections. Adjustable trim controls also allow listeners to tailor the presentation to their room and preferences.

To celebrate its anniversary year, each buyer will receive a membership to the Klipsch Museum of Audio History along with a special 180-gram vinyl pressing drawn from the legendary KlipschTape archives. Originally recorded by Paul W. Klipsch in the 1950s as demonstration tracks for dealers and enthusiasts, the collection offers a rare glimpse into the company's early years. Even more intriguing, some of the recordings have never been publicly released.

The Limited Edition 80th Anniversary Klipschorn can be purchased through authorized Heritage dealers, with production capped at 280 pairs worldwide.
