It appears my AVR attempted too auto update the firmware release today and now seems bricked...:hissyfit: I have unplugged it and let it sit and then turned it back on and it’s locked up like this...can’t use it.

Oh no!

You may have to perform a factory reset. Might want to call their tech support first, tho

Hmmm... I just took a few minutes to see if I could find a service manual. There doesn't appear to be one available for free on the interwebs.

I forget what the factory reset procedure is... have you attempted it?

Can you plug in Ethernet?

Would it be worth unplugging ethernet from the back of AVR and connecting it to another device just to test the connection?
Maybe try rebooting the router/modem 1st?

I'd be very uneasy trying a factory reset without checking with Denon 1st, but here's the procedure from the manual.
Factory reset in on-line manual.
You'll also see reset network connections next to it.

The power button currently does nothing...like I was surprised that the display was on when I went in the room.
the power button will not turn it off or on.
I can only unplug the unit.

I will have to try and contact denon support. Do not see that going smooth with the way things are going....

I agree with @JStewart. You’d better talk with Denon first. You definitely don’t want to permanently brick the receiver.

When you do either of these the AVR powers on and begins trying to update but then errors out. I plugged the Ethernet cable into my laptop and downloaded and installed 9 windows updates no problem so it’s not an internet issue.

Curious to read what they say when you call them today!

Is it up and running?

Just got through too denon. They had me do a factory firmware restore ( press setup/dimmer/power until firmware restore shows on display) Which is working. If that didn’t work they would have me do a full reset on it. The firmware restore is almost done. Completed but screen went right back to the 1202 error....

Bummer... but I do like the Banshee :T

Those have been hard to get this year. When we get them in, they sell in a matter of hours.
