The company’s tools reach beyond smoothing frequency response. They’re about timing, phase, bass control, system integration, and, increasingly, using a room’s speaker array as a coordinated acoustic system.

That bigger ambition is easy to see in Dirac’s recent Emotiva announcement. Emotiva’s new LXR-11 AV receiver and LXP-16 surround processor will launch with Dirac Live Room Correction, Dirac Live Bass Control, and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment included and ready to use out of the box, with no additional license purchase required. For the first time ever, Emotiva products will include both Dirac Live Bass Control and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment, giving buyers access to Dirac’s complete room optimization suite from day one. The LXR-11 and LXP-16 support up to 9.4.6 channel processing, putting them squarely in the world of serious immersive audio. But Dirac’s role on the platforms is a big-time headline-grabber. It isn’t simply being added as a premium check box. It’s becoming part of the product’s core value proposition.

The same theme carries into Dirac’s custom installation work with NAD. At CEDIA Expo 2026, Dirac announced that NAD Electronics’ CI SA2-120 BluOS Streaming Amplifier Module and CI S2 BluOS Streaming Module have been certified to support Dirac Live Room Correction. These aren't home theater processors chasing maximum channel counts. They’re compact, modular custom installation products designed for professionally rigged audio systems, which makes the Dirac connection especially interesting.

Taken together, the Emotiva and NAD news shows why Dirac’s 25th anniversary feels less like a victory lap and more like a marker along a much larger path. On one end, Dirac’s complete Live suite is becoming deeply integrated into serious immersive home theater hardware. On the other, Dirac Live Room Correction continues to expand into modular custom installation products aimed at whole-home and distributed audio. That kind of range is exactly why Dirac’s influence continues to grow.

So yes, 25 years is worth celebrating. But the bigger story is that Dirac still looks like a company with room to run. From AV receivers and processors to custom installation modules and beyond, its technology continues to move closer to the center of how premium audio systems are designed, tuned, and experienced.
