(August 26, 2026) There was a time, not all that long ago, when Kaleidescape could be found powering a handful of demos at CEDIA Expo. That era feels firmly behind us. Today, the company's stable of players and servers has become one of the show floor’s most important behind-the-scenes ingredients, the source component many exhibitors turn to when they want to push a system hard, jump between reference movie scenes quickly, and give attendees a clean, high-quality demo without fumbling through discs, streamers, apps, or unreliable network playback.
That makes this year’s CEDIA Expo especially fitting for Kaleidescape, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a major booth presence, a new Strato K movie player, anniversary events, and a Smart Stage panel that brings industry voices together to discuss the future of premium home entertainment. The company says more than 50, yes FIFTY, brands will use Kaleidescape gear to power demos across CEDIA Expo 2026, which says a lot about where the platform now sits in the world of custom integration; it’s become an expected standard.
At Booth #3706, Kaleidescape will showcase its latest sensation, the Strato K, feeding three serious display systems. The lineup includes an 18' wide Quantum Media Systems LED Wall with a 2.40:1 aspect ratio, a Sony 98" BRAVIA 9 II True RGB 4K HDR display, and a Samsung 85" Neo QLED QN990F 8K TV. The booth will also feature Trinnov Audio Altitude16 processors, Meyer Sound Ultra X20XP loudspeakers, X400C subwoofers, and AudioQuest HDMI cables.
Of course, the big product story is Strato K, Kaleidescape’s new 8K certified movie player. Strato K introduces the company’s 4K Cinematic format, which uses the player’s 8K processing power to deliver full chroma sampling up to 4:4:4 and much higher bitrates. Having seen 4K Cinematic in action at Audio Advice Live, I can say the result is an image that looks more vibrant and etched with a depth I’ve yet to see from other formats. In a few words, it’s strikingly sensational.
Beyond Kaleidescape’s own booth, several Strato K powered demos are worth putting on your CEDIA show floor short list. Sound Room 2120 will feature Kaleidescape’s 4K Cinematic format in a proper home cinema environment, with Sony, KEF, Stewart Filmscreen, Panamorph, and Acoustic Innovations joining forces around the flagship Strato K movie player. Sound Room 10 will also put Kaleidescape to work in a reference-grade luxury cinema system led by StormAudio. That room brings together Christie, Seymour-Screen Excellence, madVR Labs, Ascendo, AcustiMOD, Officina Acustica, and Moovia, with StormAudio’s Fusion 20 processor and Kaleidescape’s Strato K movie player anchoring the experience.
Quantum Media Systems will also feature Kaleidescape in the lower-level MR-201 HPA, where its Quantum XDR 8K Micro LED display wall will be demoed with TPI speakers and electronics and a StormAudio processor. Always one of the most mind-blowing demonstrations at the show, Quantum is the perfect brand to showcase Kaleidescape’s true operational capabilities.
