I want to show how I find the volume of a complex, constructive body:
At the second photo, the red line is the waterline, must be fill with water next to it / everything must be perfectly horizontally!/.
-I measure the weight of the my vented inner construction - 3.5 kg.
-The amount of water is 42 l. in the box; 42-3,5= 38,5l, 4.5 l more than what's needed - what's next?
I know the total volume, now everything is very simple there are several options for correction;
- purely mathematical / less analytical geometry, simple algebra and axonometry /
- methodically- it can be done in several ways.....

The problem is that my investor likes the vision of the column. The decrease in volume must occur inside the construction of the cabinet. This sends the project in a more initial phase,we have a new requirement for the project, second W18 EX001.

The old project stayed in the past ...

Wow. You've got some excellent woodworking skills. I got into woodworking since I got tired of paying contractors to do my projects around the house. It is addicting and expensive! However, my work has nothing on yours.

Thank you!
I am an electrical engineer, the woodworking is a my hobby!
I lived in a country where there were no supermarkets for building materials, you could not realize your ideas, and there was no way and where to get simple things / wood, adhesives, varnishes /.
These are the years 1970-1990.
колони хол.jpg I was compelled /and also the many of my compatriots /, to improvise and do everything on their own. I'll give you a picture of my current home. When I made the purchase in 1997, I had a requirement for the builder - I only want the outline of the apartment and nothing more!
In this my home all the design, the construction, all the installation, furniture - whatever came to your mind was done by my hands without any help!
Yes, I was doing it for 14 years, but it was my "Hobby Building Place".

Do not think I'm an exception in Bulgaria there are many people with such opportunities, aged between 50 and 65.
Thank you for your attention!

That's pretty awesome. I live in Visalia, CA, and good quality wood is very expensive in the USA. Most of my work I've done with inexpensive pine wood since I can't really afford nice hard wood such as black walnut, etc.

There have been a few people that I've made some exterior furniture for, but I mainly like building things for myself.

I've never tried veneer. Probably something I may try on my current Chane A5rx-c and Chane A2rx-c speakers. My 3 yrs old pushed one of my towers and it ended up hitting the edge of the tv stand damaging the veneer. So, I was thinking of removing the veneer and using something else. I really like the colors of your current speakers. So, I would want to sue something similar to that. I'm just afraid of destroying my current speakers!

May be you can give me some pointers.

That's what I was afraid of! I have my own technique for veneering, I use it because I have many years of experience - I do not recommend it for you !
Any veneer can bend tangentially and radially, I I bend veneer and diagonally in this my way;
- On the finished column from some thicker and transparent paper i make templates that should lie perfectly on the base.
- You can cut an additional template from a thin MDF -3mm that makes it easier to cut the veneer/ I was doing it years ago, now not do it /.
-The technology for veneer collection It should be clear to you - otherwise everything ismeaningless. The assembled pieces of veneer I placed against light, do this on a window, if are light through the pieces - you have a problem.
If you've done this everything , it's time to stick the veneer on the box. I use Polychloroprene glue for this purpose. This glue does not give any possibility of further shifting, if you try to do it will break the veneer, the cost of one square meter "Bird's eye view" is 60-70 Euro.
P.P.
If after this summary, you still want make to veneer, we can proceed to "Personal ..."

What's the worse that can happen? Me ruining the Chane speakers....well that kind of gives me the excuse to buy new speakers lol (my wife will not be happy). I think my main concern would be making the edges and corners flush.

A dream of mine is to someday have the room for a woodshop, making furniture, cabinets and speakers. If I have half the talent you do, Joro, I'll consider myself a success.

I love your speakers so much that I am going to try curved sides on my DIY Synergy horn build. Would it work out for me to back cut the MDF to get the curve or should I use bendable plywood with the finish being veneer either way? This is just a rough draft as I need to get the horn made first then I will know how much the curve will be... I am assuming I can make it much gentler. The horn will be around 31" wide and 27" deep, and 27" high. Any advice would be appreciated.

It depends on how much curve you are after. You can "kerf" the MDF or make layers of ply to acheive your goals.
Here is a quick rundown, there are plenty of other videos out there. Kerfing
Remember to fill the cuts with glue, before bending, to restore some strength to the MDF.

I saw an article somewhere where the builder used little beads to fill the grooves...almost like a sand mixed in glue.

I know this might be a stupid question, but how do you know how many and where to cut holes within the interior of the speaker bracing?

Obviously there is some language barrier, my English is not good, I do not know how to comment on situate, maybe at this address you will find some of the answers:
Diamond_brochure.pdf

Impeccable! The attention to detail is beyond what I have witness for a DIY build.
When i will make the measurements are made, it will be understood whether it made sense for these openings, or maybe be better to toilet paper should have been used!
