Hey Tony, I'm getting an error message when I click the links! Anybody else having an issue?

Yes, I get an error as well

strange, it works for me.

We are strictly in the testing mode with the Showcase for now, but later tonight I will open it up to the public. You will get the error until then.

I think because we are staff that gives us access

Okay... it should open now for everyone to see and test, all members.

When you post a new showcase, it will create a thread in the AV Showcase Discussion thread pointing to your showcase.

You should see the new AV SHOWCASE menu tab up top now. We'll post some full instructions as a sticky a bit later. It is mainly being tested now to see if it makes sense. It basically give viewers an easier way to view home theaters and us be able to highlight them better in one location.

Nice room Tony! That AV rack is serious business!

I have always admired those EV loudspeakers, Tony. I remember when you acquired those, must be doing a great job for you to be using them years later.

Yes, I love the sound of the EVs I just wish that they would look as good as they sound. There a little lacklustre in that department.

Nice room Tony! That AV rack is serious business!
Thanks, I'm going to add more rackmount to the sides lower down as I have a couple things I still want add including that Denon CD Tape player unit I picked up not long ago and I want to remove a couple items from there so it will look a little more refined

A few updated photos added

Hey Tony, I really like the room! You've certainly got a lot of media and different gear in there. Very nice indeed.

Wow Tony you have done well.

I reallllly like that room too. The gear racks and front end are great! Well done, Tony. :T:T

Thanks guys. its really a never ending project as we all know :spend:

Very nice Tony, looks like some serious bucks invested!

Is that a BetaSP deck? What's your background? Why the professional decks in your rack? I used to have that Hi-8 deck. Do you want to buy my Panasonic DVCPro deck? :P

So the top unit is a Digital S format by JVC, nice deck but hard to find tapes for it and now that HD is out the old NTSC decks are kind of useless. I just cant get to getting rid of the old decks as they are kind of cool.
I used to do wedding videos for a hobby (often 2 or 3 a month) I used an Amiga 4000 with the Video Toaster flyer system installed to do the editing it is still functional (at the botom of that rack).

Ahhh, yes. Digital S. I worked for Fox News Channel when it first launched. Their entire New York studio operation was based on Digital S (we still used Beta SP in the field for compatibility reasons). I'm pretty sure they were about the only major organization to buy into Digital S.

I also know the tape ops in transmission despised it.

Yes, the compatibility with everyone else was the Digital S formats downfall. Almost everyone in the industry was using Bata SP or Bata Digital hence the reason I got the Digital S deck for almost free and it only has about 200hrs on the unit.
