BiasLighting.com, the official distributor of the all-new Spears & Munsil Ultra HD Benchmark (2023) disc set, is shipping the latest installment of a must-own calibration and evaluation tool. Years in the making, Stacey Spears and Don Munsil have outdone themselves, pouring an incredible amount of time and passion into the industry's most elite video (and audio) test patterns and demo images. Improvements abound, including extensive instructions and descriptions baked into a large amount of content across three discs. This has quickly become the must-own disc of the year.
Having quadrupled the number of files available for use (5,000 vs 1,200 in the last release), this latest version ships with 266 GB of files to push your TV to the outer extremes of high performance. With that comes lots of new features, including:
- HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision HDR
- Dolby Atmos DTS:X audio test tones from 5.1.2 - 9.1.6. (5.1, 7.1 and 9.1 base; 2, 4 and 6 height)
- Pop-up help instructions
- A small sample of 59.94p test patterns.
- Peak luminance test pattern for a more accurate measurement than the legacy window pattern.
- Pixel Agining pattern to break in OLEDs properly
