The HSU Research ULS-15 MK2 Giveaway Winner is Revealed!​

(March 21, 2018) AV NIRVANA and HSU Research are excited to reveal the big winner of our exciting HSU Research ULS-15 MK2 Subwoofer Giveaway Contest. The pool of entrants was loaded, with several members achieving multiple qualified entries for achieving milestones (such as 100 posts or creating an AV Showcase page). Don’t forget: any member with 100 posts is instantly eligible for two Giveaway entries, while 1,000 posts grants three automatic entries!

And the winner of the HSU subwoofer is: leecreek!

Leecreek is the new owner of an impressively powerful sealed sub complements of the fine folks at HSU Research! The ULS-15 MK2 was first unveiled during 2016 and is HSU’s only sealed subwoofer design. It carries a 15-inch driver powered by a 600 Watt BASH amp (2000 Watts peak) that features convenient onboard tuning options. It’s overall size (19-in H x 18-in W x 19-1/2-in D with grill, feet, and amp) and weight (65-pounds), not only make it manageable but also room friendly. Well the HSU arrived in good condition. Thanks to Todd on his repacking. UPS tried but didn't breach the outer box. In fact UPS driver was great as he helped get it up the steps and thru the back door

Unpacking was a job as assistant has no opposing thumbs. The unit goes 65 lbs or so. Love the carpet for unpacking.

The spot where it is living now. Same spot the Cerwin Vega occupied for its lifetime
But it might be moved a little as I have a idea of making it into a end table as it is almost the same height as the other ones.Thinking of just a removable top for it in the same style as the others. Might be iffy on stain tho. Matching stain shades from 30 years or so is going to be tough.
