(March 21, 2018) AV NIRVANA and HSU Research are excited to reveal the big winner of our exciting HSU Research ULS-15 MK2 Subwoofer Giveaway Contest. The pool of entrants was loaded, with several members achieving multiple qualified entries for achieving milestones (such as 100 posts or creating an AV Showcase page). Don’t forget: any member with 100 posts is instantly eligible for two Giveaway entries, while 1,000 posts grants three automatic entries!

And the winner of the HSU subwoofer is: leecreek!

Leecreek is the new owner of an impressively powerful sealed sub complements of the fine folks at HSU Research! The ULS-15 MK2 was first unveiled during 2016 and is HSU’s only sealed subwoofer design. It carries a 15-inch driver powered by a 600 Watt BASH amp (2000 Watts peak) that features convenient onboard tuning options. It’s overall size (19-in H x 18-in W x 19-1/2-in D with grill, feet, and amp) and weight (65-pounds), not only make it manageable but also room friendly. Our review found the ULS-15 MK2’s deep bass capabilities (20Hz – 200 Hz +/- 1 dB) and quick attack made it extraordinarily capable for both music and home theater duties. Make no mistake about it, this is a killer subwoofer!

Thanks to all of our members that entered to win, and big congratulations to leecreek! We’re sure you’re going to enjoy this powerful piece of equipment! And for those of you that didn’t win, definitely stick around and get active on the forum: we have another great Giveaway in the works! :T

I have been messing every day on the settings and levels. The HSU has a big voice and will shake the whole old house we live in. Other than matching the level to get it to power on, just a bunch of changes to roll offs , trying this or that to see what I like and what the Boss will tolerate. It sounds great and bringing a whole new theater experience for sure.
Thanks to the staff of AV NIRVANA and all the members making this happen.

Awesome. Awesome. Awesome!

That box definitely looks like it took a little bit of a beating during transit... good thing that HSU packaging is rock solid! ;-)

Keep fooling with the settings, it definitely has enough to allow for some fine tuning on the performance end.

Can't wait to read some of your listening impressions as you get it to where you like. You're in for a fun ride! :T
