Add In the Settings Personal Details Page under AV Equipment

Front Height Speakers
Front Wide Speakers
Screen

Add a forum category group called "Speaker Setup"
with sub categories for:
2-Channel
Dolby Atmos
Auro 3-D
DTS NEO:X

The Home Page is very cluttered and busy. Not clean and welcoming. This is in reference to viewing on a PC.

when opening the Home Page on my cellphone the articles posted/displayed on the page runs off the screen to the right. Right margin may need to be defined for article links displayed on home page.

Added... although we had several extra fields available for these, but I added them anyway.

At this point in time we will simply use the Speakers forum for this. Once we have enough threads to separate out and create a new forum, we will. Early on in a new forum, we have to limit the number of forums we have so that they don't look dead with so few posts. Several categories will be consolidated early on until we get enough content to warranty breaking out other forums.

How do you edit a post, once its posted?
I forgot to change the 0 time limit for this special user group... you should see it now in the post itself.

Hmmm... well... we worked really really hard on this and we think it's super nice. We do have to get the ads and appropriate blocks setup, but the left column will have Featured Blu-ray reviews and Recent Threads along with ads, the two center columns will be what you see... News articles on the left and equipment reviews on the right, but we don't have any equipment reviews posted yet. Then on the far right we have ad blocks for the most part. We believe it will be cleaner than most other forums once it gets rockin'.

What phone are you using, because this is not happening with any of our phones. The site is what is called "responsive" so it adjust to any device automatically if you are using a standard we browser on your phone. On my S7 using Safari, Firefox or Chrome the Home page looks just like this... no difference at all...

Add a forum for Great Deals were people can post commercial sales etc they find.
Yep... we probably need this... we'll discuss what to name it and where to put it.

Great suggestions and we seriously appreciate this kind of feedback. It is EXACTLY what we need. :T

Maybe we could rename the Budget AV Equipment forum and call it something like Great Values in AV Equipment rather than adding another at this time. When we see the threads build up we can break it out in to appropriately and more specifically named forums or sub forums.

As for the busy home page, I think it is a bit, but it needs to be. What is more important is that the content pull people into the forum and the navigation makes sense. And it seems to. There will always be a compromise between more content and featuring stuff we need to feature and looking spacious. We mostly need it to be functional and keep it stable unless we really have a better idea that we KNOW people will respond to better. When I go to a site there are three things that are important. First, I need to be able to navigate to what I want easily, Second, it needs to be familiar and stable if I am going to go there regularly, and finally, it better not have stuff popping up and covering up the content that I want to see.

I think we are looking pretty good. We certainly will tweak it, but any major changes will have to be really well planned out and validated with users. If we want to do that, I have my Archery site that I have on hold that is set up with Xenforo that we can use as a test site if someone wants to propose a better layout. But a lot of work has gone into this one and it would have to be pretty good to merit that kind of effort.

We are always open to ideas, but making changes in layout is not trivial.

How about Great Values and Budget AV Equipment ???

That is really strange... it's not responding like it should for sure. Not sure we can do anything about it though. The style is built to be responsive to any device. It has to be something in Windows Phone 8.1 preventing it from being responsive. If I take my browser window and drag the right side over to the left the site responds appropriately ... it gets super narrow... much narrower than your phone is showing:

I just noticed the same thing.

All the emails I receive in regard to followed threads show up as from Todd Anderson...will that be changed to AV NIRVANA?
Fixed... not sure how that got changed unless Todd was doing some experimenting.

The links open and resize fine.
So it appears it is the AV Industry News Posts Section, and the Latest Threads Section as displayed on the Home Page which are not resizing. The rest of the Sections currently displayed on the Homepage appear to be resizing appropriately. I have not noticed any resizing issues when using links..

Thanks... we had that front page custom built so I will have the developer take a look at it and see if he can make those images respond more appropriately for Windows Phone users. We may ask you to test if or us again a few time if you don't mind.

Is it possible to have a Pro audio section, Some place to discuss front of house mixing or other "Pro audio" related ideas?
I would like to post my running front of house manual that I made up years ago.

Thanks guys

Well... I think it would be a dead forum for the most part, about like it was at HTS, except deader. We would not have had as much discussion in that forum if it had not been for our run with Pro Audio Shack that never really took off that well.

Ok, do you suggest a place that I should put that? I do think it is/was valuable to people. It was not a sticky so it got lost in there anyhow

Not sure really at this point, being that we are not really about pro audio.

Ok, we can leave it out. no big deal.
:)

windows phone 8.1 explorer browser.
will try and take a picture to show you.
I am told by the developer that it is not possible to get Windows Phone 8.1 working. He stated the 8.1 browser is old and outdated and would not work with responsive sites for some reason. Have you thought about upgrading to 10?
