Dear all,
I am a new REW user and might need assistance. I followed this tutorial here (
) which is great btw and so far it worked fine. I struggle with the results of the correction phase. As you see in the screenshot included, the regions with the worst deviations are not corrected at all (80 to 150 Hz). Why is that so? Where is my mistake? Thank you for some hints.

That region is further below the target than could be corrected with a boost filter of the maximum gain allowed, so it is left as is .

Thank you, I think I get the point. Then my second question is: how do you experienced people assess my curve? The speakers should be good (Troels Gravesen Faital 3WC) but the room is very bad (odd shape, bad symmetry, etc...). How would you continue? Is it possible to "flatten" this curve? Should I just play around with the knobs until it "fits"? Or any specific tips? Since this is my first experience with professional EQ, any advice is appreciated.

Hans,

You can drop the Target Level (spl) lower, so the calcs have more "room" to do EQ. I'd suggest you increase the allowed dB ranges (individual/overall). You can change these to lower values if you feel the need.

Reserve a few filters (on the EQ Filters button at top of graph) so you can fine-tune what the automation won't).

Play with the beginning and ending Hz if you need more filters than 18 or so.

Here's mine:
