(June 22, 2026) Dirac's room correction technology continues to find its way into an increasingly diverse range of hardware, with recent announcements bringing the platform to products from companies like Denon, miniDSP, and NAD. Now, the Swedish audio specialist is expanding its reach again through a partnership with Chinese manufacturer Tonewinner, whose new AT-600 AV processor becomes the first Chinese OEM-developed and branded product to integrate Dirac Live technology.

Designed for immersive home theater applications, the Tonewinner AT-600 is a 16-channel AV processor that's compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS audio formats, while offering HDMI 2.1 connectivity and 8K video passthrough. The processor supports system layouts up to 9.3.4 or 7.3.6 channels and comes with Dirac Live Room Correction and Dirac Live Bass Control, giving users access to two of Dirac's most popular optimization platforms right out of the box.

Dirac Live Room Correction addresses both frequency-response and timing-related issues introduced by a listening room, helping to improve clarity, imaging, and overall tonal balance. Dirac Live Bass Control builds on that foundation by coordinating subwoofers and speakers as a unified system, improving bass consistency across multiple listening positions while reducing many of the peaks and dips commonly caused by room acoustics.

"At Dirac, we talk about the complete audio experience as system, source, and space, and the space is consistently the most overlooked of the three," said Anders Storm, CEO of Dirac. "Tonewinner clearly sees it the same way. The AT-600 pairs 16-channel processing with Dirac Live Room Correction and Bass Control out of the gate, with ART to follow, giving their customers a direct path to the full audio experience."

That reference to ART may be the most interesting part of the announcement. Dirac says support for Dirac Live Active Room Treatment will arrive later this year, bringing the company's most advanced room optimization platform to the AT-600. Unlike traditional room correction systems that primarily focus on frequency response, ART uses multiple-input, multiple-output processing to guide speakers and subwoofers as a coordinated acoustic system, ultimately reducing low-frequency resonances, shortening decay times, and improving overall system coherence.

The inclusion of ART is particularly noteworthy given the AT-600's price point. While many processors capable of running advanced room-correction systems cost thousands more, Tonewinner is positioning the AT-600 as a performance-oriented device that brings premium features to a broader audience.

"With the AT-600, our goal was to deliver true high-end home cinema performance at a competitive price point, expanding access to a more immersive listening experience," said Michael Li, president of Tonewinner. "Dirac Live sets the standard for room acoustics software, and its integration ensures our customers can achieve precise, balanced sound that fully realizes the capability of their system."

The Tonewinner AT-600 AV processor is expected to be available for $2,299.
