Hi,
new receiver Rotel RAP 1580MKii
sound system 5.1
Asio4All vs 2.15
Windows 10 sound setting with a 5.1 system all channels works
24 bits 48K setting for receiver and mic OK
On Asio all setting checked.
In receiver hdm audio input set to "source dependant"
osd shows "multi channel pcm" when REW is open

In prefernece menu rew I went to java and come back to Asio4All and reload it.

Wathever I try only front left or front right get a signal from generator

PLEASE help

If you look at the Windows audio properties Supported formats tab for the HDMI output what does it show for the max number of channels?

Ok if you mean maximal channels for RAP1580 in playback device I see 8maximal channels

BUT, I did a firmware upate for Rotel RAP 1580 mk II, a factory reset, restted everything and REW works again! Thank you and cheers!

Well, REW hasn't changed in the meantime so hard to see how it could be responsible. You could try the Java WASAPI exclusive option instead of ASIO (device names that start with EXCL: in the Java driver lists).

I changed to flexasio and signals worked.
BUT I measured with a timing reference. All speakers are exactly at the very same place. I set the exact same distance in the receiver. The mic is right at the same mlp (lazer measured). The results are completly false. A delay of 60cm is added at the physical tape measured distances. Is it a user error? see essai rap file vs the other file where are the old receiver measurements. Or is it the avr?

Are you using one of the surround channels as the timing reference? Which way is the mic pointed? Might be better using one of the front speakers as the ref.

Mic pointed vertically as always since my first rew measurements years ago. Yes it was the surround. I will try with left channel and see.

here a file with front right channel as ref. I need to be sure that it is the receiver so I will return it to retailor

I would point the mic towards the speaker being measured personally, but that is more awkward to manage. AVRs don't always get it right (per the lengthy AVS Denon thread) but that's a pretty high spec receiver. You could eliminate acoustic complications by measuring the line-level preamp outputs, using one of them as a pseudo loopback timing reference against which the others could be measured. You would need an interface with two inputs, however, or a stereo line input on your computer.

Oh. Now I am overwhelmed. I haven't the knowledge to understand what to do. I will read the thread though.
And seeing the impulses measured by Dirac (which passthrough all delays and trim in the unit) it seems tobe a bug in the AVR.
