(October 27, 2026) Recently, L-Acoustics invited AV NIRVANA to Nashville, Tennessee, for an exclusive guided tour of its new Americas regional headquarters. What followed was roughly 80 minutes of demonstrations, conversations, and behind-the-scenes access to technologies ranging from remarkably compact residential loudspeakers and sophisticated concert mixing systems to some rather fascinating applications of artificial intelligence and unique, forward-thinking technologies. We captured the entire experience on video, giving you the opportunity to come along for the ride.
Officially opened in February 2026, the 11,100-square-foot facility is located within the CAA Creative Office Building at Nashville Yards, placing L-Acoustics alongside companies such as Creative Artists Agency, AEG Presents, and Amazon Music. It's an interesting location, considering how much of the music industry's business and creative decision-making happens in Nashville. More importantly, this isn't simply an office with a few speakers scattered around for occasional demonstrations. The facility houses working L-Acoustics demo rooms featuring the company's HYRISS residential technology, as well as a fully equipped Creative Studio for professional audio engineers, touring artists, sound designers, and other industry professionals. During our visit, we had the opportunity to explore these spaces and take a close look at the systems that make them work.
For home audio enthusiasts, we also visited L-Acoustics' residential listening lounge, where we explored a collection of compact point-source loudspeakers, slimline designs, and surprisingly small but powerful subwoofers. These aren't simply miniature versions of the company's enormous concert arrays. They're purpose-built products that draw on decades of professional sound reinforcement experience, with an emphasis on controlled coverage, clarity, and installation flexibility. We examined how these designs are constructed, where they're intended to be used, and how they fit into residential stereo and home theater systems.
We also spent time inside what is only the second dedicated HYRISS showroom in the world, following the opening of L-Acoustics' London facility in 2024. You may remember, we previously experienced HYRISS in London and wrote extensively about its ability to transform a residential space using discreetly integrated loudspeakers and sophisticated spatial audio processing (read the full article, here). The Nashville installation offers a similar opportunity to hear how one room can accommodate dramatically different listening experiences, ranging from conventional music playback to immersive cinema and concert-style presentations to completely altered ambient environments. For this tour, we went beyond the listening experience itself, taking a look at the equipment rack and supporting technologies that make HYRISS work.
On the professional side, we were given access to the Creative Studio, an environment built around L-ISA immersive audio technology and the workflows used by engineers preparing sound for major concerts and live performances. This part of the tour provided a particularly interesting look at how immersive audio is finding its way into concert venues, including the ability to deploy surround and overhead loudspeakers alongside traditional frontal arrays. We also received a demonstration of L-Acoustics DJ, a technology that uses machine learning to separate elements of conventional stereo music in real time and place them within a controllable three-dimensional sound field. Rather than requiring a DJ to prepare an entirely new immersive mix, the system can work with existing stereo material, allowing performers and engineers to move musical elements around the venue as the performance unfolds.
Another demonstration introduced us to Source Intelligence, L-Acoustics' proprietary machine-learning technology designed to tackle one of the more stubborn problems in live sound: unwanted noise entering a performer's microphone. Imagine a singer standing on stage, surrounded by powerful loudspeakers, drums, instruments, and all sorts of acoustic interference. Source Intelligence processes the microphone signal in real time, identifying the human voice while suppressing the surrounding unwanted sound. To put the in the simplest of terms: it's incredible!
Perhaps my favorite aspect of this visit was having the opportunity to explore these technologies alongside the a pro that works with them, asking questions, getting demonstrations, and seeing how the various pieces fit together. That's also how I've chosen to present our video coverage. The complete tour runs approximately 80 minutes and preserves the experience as it unfolded, allowing you to join me as we move from room to room, investigate the equipment, and learn directly from L-Acoustics' specialists. If you're interested in a particular technology or simply don't have time for the full tour, I've also created eight individual breakout videos, each focusing on a different part of our visit. You can watch the entire experience from beginning to end or jump directly into the shorter segments covering the subjects that interest you most. Either way, it's a rare opportunity to look inside a world-class audio facility and experience a side of L-Acoustics that most enthusiasts never get to see.
