Coronavirus Outbreak

Sadly the XPATs in Mexico regardless of age are not doing anything! I cut myself off 2 weeks ago from them, and made a point of telling them that the biggest risk to Mexicans is them..due to their refusal to distance, self Quarantine, and keep traveling around with no regard to the Corona virus. I know people that are in their 70s and up that just continue to go out every night with their friends, and then complain because of the requests for them to self Quarantine.

I have a lot of younger friends in California, and I see them going along as usual...except for the ones who were sent home. They still complain that their local bar is closed, or the local movie theater. The lack of acknowledgment of the danger is scary.

Negatron, please see link here. Unfortunately, you are right, Mexico is unprepared and people are not taking it seriously.

Mexico currently has 203 confirmed cases and 1 death so far. I suspect the numbers will only increase instead of go down due to lack of social distancing.

Take care my friend with social distancing and wash hands.

My Dr told me they expect 50% to get the Corona Virus too.

I stay home, and my younger wife does the shopping. When she comes home I go and bring in everything. I do have to go downtown the end of the month to pay my cell, and cable bill though.

whenever you go out and come back to home, first thing is go to sink and wash hands with soap..

Sadly, folks over there are not taking it at all serious and will only know later what damage that will do for the country.

Here is a pretty good look at what is going on...

We should have always been prepping...

As we were all discussing the recklessness of the youth enjoying spring break in Florida with no regard to social distancing, now news come that a few are now testing positive.

Now, it begins ...

Sadly, lot of places are still not taking this seriously and this will only go bad to worse..

People never learn from history...

Yeah, and people will pay the price unfortunately..

Gene over on Audioholics was tested positive, and after xxx amount of time even though he still tests positive was told to no longer Quarantine. I find this especially disturbing as he is most likely a carrier now.

Everyone staying safe?

This situation is not good, actually hard to believe it’s happening. The ramifications of this on our lives, the health of loved ones, and the industry we all celebrate are bound to be huge.

As far as I know we do not have any positive cases in San Miguel, but they are not testing unless a Dr requests it because you have high fever.
I started self isolation 2 weeks ago, and my wife started a week ago. We only go out when necessary. I ordered a stationary bike from Amazon Mexico, so we can get exercise while staying home.

There are two things that will make this situation more dangerous than it should be. Ignorance and greed.

Still working, held hostage by my bills, employer attendance policy and the inaction of our leaders. Self-isolating at my desk, washing hands before returning to it. Can't find hand sanitizer so I carry a pocket-sized spray bottle of 99% Isopropyl alcohol with me.

My girlfriend is able to work from home but we are keeping distance from each other because I am out and about 5 days/week. Her bday was last weekend and we chose to celebrate later when it's safe to do so. She is a millennial and I tried to lure her out with Tide Pods, but she is waaaaay too smart for that. ;)

Stay safe and vigilant, my friends!

I sure hope the Texas heat starts killing it soon.

The problem as far as I can tell is that folks are not taking it seriously and folks, I mean leaders. They are all concerned about the stock market taking a hit but little do they realize, once people start to die due to this and workers spread the virus when they go back to work too early which will then cause a domino effect will only result in one thing, absence of workers and companies eventually will not be able to produce anything in a timely manner and what will happen?? the stock market will take a bigger hit..

People (leaders) instead on focusing on the stock market should focus on the people first.. Lives over money!!!

This whole thing is like a nightmare.

The sad thing we could have been more prepared for this a lot sooner...

Some countries are more responsive and are more fearful of this virus than others, like ours, unfortunately.

This is amazing.. India has total lockdown for 21 days for 1.3 Billion people.

Now, this is the way to control and destroy the spread of the virus..

Yup and we want to open businesses back up by Easter. Here is all about the $$.
Good for India. Sounds like a great idea.

Also make sure you and your wife wash hands really well after touching the groceries bags and food.

To be really effective, countries have to have complete lockdown for few weeks like India and other countries have done.

I am afraid the US is all about profits over people unfortunately.
