Coronavirus Outbreak

Yup, we wash our hands every time we walk in the door, and after touching grocery bags, and decontaminate our 5 gallon water bottles.

Yeah we are in big trouble if we do not contain this in the USA, and if we return to normal too soon...we could end up like Hong Kong with a relapse.

I wish the USA would for once think about the people instead of greed.

When will people learn??

From yahoo,

"In Kentucky, at least 160 people have tested positive for COVD-19 — including one person who attended a “coronavirus party.” Yes, shockingly, someone who attended a party mocking the virus causing the current pandemic has contracted said virus.

Shortly after news broke of the truly chaotic coronavirus party, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear called for an end to all gatherings of this sort. “This is something that no one should be doing across the commonwealth,” Beshear said. “We are battling for the health and even the lives of our parents and grandparents. Don’t be so callous as to intentionally go to something and expose yourself to something that can kill other people.”"

I believe the U.S. is now having more confirmed coronavirus cases than any other place due to the major cities having large populations.

NY currently is the epicenter where it is very densely populated.

Umm... didn't Barack Obama want this?

I'm not an American, and honestly, do not know why people are not entitled to free healthcare?

In America, it is always based on cost.

Regardless of who is in charge, in the end, it is all about costs since the various healthcare special interest groups especially the various insurance companies really control how America manages healthcare for the people here. lol.

It is going to get worse before it gets better here unfortunately.

America is not prepared for a global pandemic. Hospitals are understaffed and do not have enough machine or equipment necessary to take care of large amounts of people..

I think the whole world was unprepared for this and I always come back to this video.

This is Bill Gates at TED talk in 2015.

With all the "great" (sarc) work Bill has done with Microsoft, I don't want to be his crash test dummy when it comes to his vaccinations... And what ever you do, please don't do any due diligence on who Bill has "partnered" with to "cure" the world of pandemics thru his vaccinations/inoculations... Are his intensions are to "chip" the worlds population and reduct the world's population 100 fold? ;^)

Unfortunately, looks like there are 8 strands of this virus.

from usatoday,

"At least eight strains of the coronavirus are making their way around the globe, creating a trail of death and disease that scientists are tracking by their genetic footprints. "

CDC Issues Domestic Travel Advisory for New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut

from cdc,

"The CDC urges residents of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut to refrain from non-essential domestic travel for 14 days effective immediately. This Domestic Travel Advisory does not apply to employees of critical infrastructure industries, including but not limited to trucking, public health professionals, financial services, and food supply. These employees of critical infrastructure, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security (https://www.cisa.gov/publication/guidance-essential-critical-infrastructure-workforceexternal icon) have a special responsibility to maintain normal work schedule. The Governors of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut will have full discretion to implement this Domestic Travel Advisory. "

This virus thing will only get worse before it gets better.

Stay safe people.

Wash hands and keep your distance when going outside.

I saw in the news that some churches actually opened and people actually attended. Crazy. Guess, we will get news soon that they got infected as well, similar to those folks who went to Florida for spring break..

Guess, some people never learn and have to learn the hard way.

Did you know that in South Korea, it all started with 1 person who went to a cult church and infected a couple of hundred in a church. The cult leader told them to go to all the churches to infect everyone else, and refused to tell the police who was in the church, as they did not want anyone to know who the members were.

Every now and then, my faith in humanity is restored. lol. :)

Young people do nonsense like partying during spring break, dad says no way to staying at his house when the kid comes back since elderly folks live at the house.

Why take the risk. I salute the dad. Way to go. :)

Currently, over 3,000 people have died so far in the USA. But on the good news, over 5,000 have recovered. So, there is hope.

Sadly, the numbers for death are projected to go up..

Hopefully, recovery improves.

grim statistics for sure.. Sadly, it will get worse before it gets better.

Florida, finally, issued stay at home orders..

from usnews,
"Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis issued a statewide stay-at-home order Wednesday as federal and local pressure mounted for him to abandon the county-by-county approach he had implemented in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
DeSantis told reporters that he is issuing the order after consulting with President Donald Trump and White House advisers, who have said that Americans need to stay home throughout April. It goes into effect at 12:01 a.m. Friday."

The state's confirmed cases are approaching 7,000, with 86 deaths and almost 900 people hospitalized, and an outbreak model cited at the White House shows exponential growth in the coming weeks. More than 30 others states had already issued such orders a week or more ago.

State by state breakdown is below.
