(January 26, 2018) Axiom Audio is expanding its presence in the high-end wireless space by announcing five new wireless speakers. The company’s new wireless offerings are based on best-selling speaker models in its current lineup, which is great news for fans of Axiom’s refined sound.

At this time, Axiom has released details and special pre-order pricing for four speaker models: M3 Wireless Bookshelf ($909 pre-order/$1,298 regular pricing), M5HP Wireless Bookshelf ($1,490 po/ $2,128 rp), M80 Wireless Floorstanding ($2,443 po/$3,490 rp), and M100 Wireless Floorstanding ($3,773 po/ $5,390 rp). Each model features built-in driver-matched amplification and an app/web user interface for streaming audio and pre-amp controls. The interface allows for owners to group together two or more pairs of Axiom wireless speakers, including the company’s highly versatile and portable Hi-Fi AxiomAir N3 (reviewed here).

Axiom’s new wireless speakers ship with a separate wireless transmitter (TRP-1) that can be connected to peripherals through an analog or optical input. The unit can also connect wirelessly over Wi-Fi for streaming via Airplay or UPnP (Android/Windows). The TRP-1 provides volume control and allows users to switch between inputs.

Outside the N3, which can be ordered with an onboard battery, Axiom’s other speaker offerings require access to a standard power outlet. And unlike other wireless speakers that rely on a user’s in-home Wi-Fi network, Axiom’s speakers create their own 2.4Gz network, keeping your home network free for other Wi-Fi traffic.

Axiom has also announced three new wireless subwoofer models (EP500, EP600, and EP800) priced from $1,470, each of which carries a built-in receiver module that communicates with the TRP-1 transmitter (sending low frequencies to the subs).

Axiom says the speakers will officially be launched in March 2018. Pre-order pricing will be honored until that time. For more information, visit Axiom on the web.

Thanks for sharing. Nice to see more wireless options. Would love to see how all these wireless options work in the real world. :)

Based on my review experience with the N3, I’d hazard to guess that they sound phenomenal. Once you learn how to use Axiom’s interface, it a great system.

Good to know. Thanks.

Outside of Klipsch, this may be the first wireless system that includes true full range high end speakers. It’s a good direction.

GoldenEar's new design (bookshelf) assumably will open some interesting doors.

I have yet to go the wireless route but I do own all of Axiom's bookshelf models except the new M5. Axiom sound can be described as forward this side of neutral. Very well balanced. I understand their new V4 tweeter is insanely good.... same driver that Bryston uses on their speaker line up.
