It was sounding so good this morning I continued on with Big Head Todd’s Christmas Eve 2025 release after I got in the car this morning!

The theme of this album is 40 songs from their 24 & 25 concert tour celebrating their 40 years together.

About the Band from Wikipedia:
A rock band with an easygoing jam band sensibility and a taste for the blues, rock, and funk, Big Head Todd & the Monsters have proven to be one of the most enduring bands in their genre. Led by singer/guitarist Todd Park Mohr, the band emerged in the mid-'80s and found mainstream success in 1993 with their platinum-selling third album, Sister Sweetly. Though they never again matched the commercial success of that LP, Todd and co. have maintained a loyal fan base over the decades, becoming festival favorites and issuing a steady stream of concert and studio albums, including Riviera (2002), Rocksteady (2010), and Her Way Out (2024).

BHT formed in Boulder, Colorado by Todd Park Mohr on guitar and vocals, Rob Squires on bass and vocals, and Brian Nevin on drums and vocals. The three had been friends in high school, and they formed the band in 1986 while they were attending the University of Colorado. The band quickly found an audience in their home state, and were soon touring regularly on the West Coast and through the Mountain States.

My sister-in-law was living in their area as the band was coming up and is a huge fan to this day. We were lucky to be able to join her and my brother for the show at Red Rocks last year. It was the first trip to Red Rocks for my wife and I and it’s even more spectacular than everyone says!

It’s a little more of a hike to the top than this sea level dweller thought it might be, but I’m glad to have done it. :)
