Went for a short walk with my brother on a trail next to his house and he pointed out for me where the iconic album cover was photographed.

In the center above the green hill you can see the slopes of Eldora in Nederland CO. The piano was set up and then photographed after an overnight snowfall. The camera angle was to the right with the mountains as a backdrop. The Caribou Ranch, where the album was, in part, recorded was located just to the right of this shot. I never knew this before he told me about it, despite it being a favorite recording.

I live about an hour east of there, in Loveland. The rear of our house faces west and we have a similar view of the mountains around Eldora, Rocky Mountain National Park and Longs Peak (the local fourteener). I didn't know that piano picture was taken at Caribou, thanks for that info.
