After an interesting three days at the 2017 AXPONA show, AV NIRVANA reporters Wayne Myers and myself made our way over to the JTR Speaker facility to pay owner, Jeff Permanian a visit. We got a good look around, Jeff showing us a little bit of what goes on under the hood. I picked up a Captivator 118 HT subwoofer for review. When I am done writing up this speaker, we are going to GIVE IT AWAY to one lucky forum member!

Check it out!

Captivator 118 HT being QC'ed. Each JTR Speaker product is thoroughly checked before leaving the facility. Grill is assembled, the sub boxed up and placed into my waiting vehicle.

Very nice, and a give-away to boot!!! This is the way out other site used to be. Great to see it going forward.

Well would ya look at that BEAST!!! WOW!

I love it when a single piece of gear takes up the entire back end of a car! :T

Cool... I wish Leonard and myself could have stopped by there.

Give it away, give it away Now! What a give away. Just found this site this a.m. likes what I see. Keep up the good works!

Awesome. I need to find somebody with JTR gear here in Fort Worth so I can experience JTR for myself. I would have loved to experienced their room at AXPONA with the seven Noesis 215RTs :D

I recall Jeff bringing a couple of their speakers over for a Twin Cities GTG that I went to a couple years ago. They were awesome!

Jeff builds a mean sub, no doubt about it. and is one of the nicest people in the Audio biz.

That is one crazy big sub! Someone at AV NIRVANA is going to be a lucky person

That thing is HUGE!!

I need a couple of those in my room... just for the fun of it!

Nope, clearing space in anticipation of doing the sub crawl for that beast right now. :nono:

Our site visits on the way home from AXPONA were a real treat. We were unsure at first about taking the extra time, but afterward were very glad that we did.

Awesome!! Looking forward to the review. I'm in the market for a new sub.
