Hello everyone. Is the acceleration factor a quality factor? Does FA=BL/mms have any connection to the ability to reproduce music most quickly, given that music is simply a succession of transients? This is what Mr. Joseph D'Appolito suggests in his video starting at minute 6. So, are some speakers faster than others?

In part, the Bl/Mms ratio can be considered important when choosing drivers. But there are many other things that are equally important. Fast driver, that's good. But will he reliably reproduce what he was assigned? So you need a balance between both.

In a word, no. BL and Mms ultimately play a big role in overall driver sensitivity, and combine with other factors to define Qms, Qes, Qts, Vas, etc. All Joe explains in that video is that they developed a higher sensitivity driver.

If you want to know how "quick" your driver is, simply measure it's frequency response.
