(December 10, 2019) SVS has spent the last several years authoring one of the great love letters to the world of audio, penned with wicked subwoofer designs and high-performance speakers. There’s just no denying SVS’s ability to deliver the kind of gear and customer experience that home theater fans want. Now, weeks before the world’s largest consumer electronics showcase, the company has unleashed another series of subs designed to lower the boom without crushing your wallet.

The all-new 2000 Pro Series of subwoofers is comprised of three different models, opening a gateway to sealed, ported, and cylindrical cabinet designs loaded with tech found in the company’s upper echelon of subs. The sealed SB-2000 Pro ($799 in Black Ash, $899 in Piano Gloss Black), ported PB-2000 Pro ($899), and ported cylinder PC-2000 Pro ($949) are priced to be extremely competitive while giving enthusiasts access to playback that’s specified to hit down to 19Hz (sealed) and 16Hz (ported).

All three models carry a redesigned 12-inch high excursion driver mated to a 550 watt (1,500 watt peak) Sledge STA-550D amp. SVS says this amp pushes lightning fast high current output thanks to discrete MOSFETs and Class D efficiency. This power is harnessed and tuned by a 50 MHz Analog Devices DSP with 56-bit filtering, resulting in punishing output graced with accuracy and utter precision.

Onboard DSP controls allow owners to fine-tune output to their liking, utilizing advanced in-room tuning, optimized frequency response curves, powerful DSP controls, and more. Conveniences include a total redesign of on-speaker physical controls, while also providing owners access to SVS’s Bluetooth app for remote adjustments of crossover, parametric EQ, polarity, gain, custom pre-sets, and other optimization tools.

The result is a trickle-down of SVS’s best subwoofer technologies at an incredibly competitive price point. As SVS’s president, Gary Yacoubian, says: “More people than ever can now enjoy astonishing output, deep bass extension below the limits of human hearing, pinpoint accuracy and all the immersive thrills of a world-class subwoofer.”

Wow, a nice looking unit. :)

The trickle down phone app is really good news!

Hoping to have hands-on time with one of these post CES. They look great. Very competitive on the price point when considering output and onboard technologies.

That PC 2000 pro actually looks very competitive with the price

If the driver is anything like the one they use in the SB-3000, then these should be great values. When I reviewed the SB-3000 for Sound & Vision I was extremely impressed with it.

Thank you Epoxy1 for the input, I have purchased the new SB2000 Pro (sealed) and as you said I was very impressed as well. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you as well. Enjoy the new subwoofer.

I wonder if anyone used the SVS SB2000 Pro, for 2 channel audio …. ?
Definitely. Why not?? I use dual SB16 Ultras for 2 channel. Some may scoff at that, but my ears like it!

Wow, I like the SB 16 and dual even better … my listening room is too small for the SB16 other wise I would love that . I actually thinking about upgrading from the SB2000 Pro to the SB 3000 and may be two of them … since all the reviews are A+
