Hi all , I want to use REW to help calibrate a 4 way home studio set up and I have a couple of questions , will it be ok to use a sonar-works mic it came with 3 cal files a 0 a 30 and 90 degree versions attached below .
when would I need to use each file ?

next I use a Universal Audio Apollo x8 as main interface and noted there is an option to calibrate the sound card within REW is there a link to a video to show specifically how to set this up and where would I get a cal file for it ?

The set up is configured like so. Mac studio max M1 - UAD Apollo x8 my setup is technically run as 2.1 but can easily switch to full range stereo, I take a SPDIF coaxial out which mirrors my full range L/R signal to a coax/Toslink convertor then Toslink to minidsp 2x4 hd Toslink digital input plus I run a sub only mono channel out via TRS balanced analogue to mini dsp analogue input for sub only , this setup allows me the choice to independently control the subs

I then take L/R TRS balanced out from the UAD Apollo x8 and connect these to TRS balanced in on an Audient Nero monitor controller which allows control of 3 sets of balanced studio monitors I also connect the mini dsp 2x4hd via unbalanced RCA out to the Audients Aux RCA unbalanced in

I have Sonar-works sound id reference multi channel room correction software but I have never been happy with its results . What id like to achieve is to use the mini dsp 2x4 hd and REW via digital connection to set up my main monitors and dual subs as flat as I can possibly get them .

Id be great full for any help and advice offered thanks in advance Don

Sonarworks is a good microphone. Use a 0-degree correction file when positioning the microphone parallel to the floor, in the direction of the driver being measured. 90 degrees when the microphone is positioned vertically.

Sound card calibration data is used if you will be measuring anything using a loop, an output-input cable. If not, you can not do it or do it later. To match the main speakers to the subs, you need to learn how to make measurements with acoustic time reference. Read about this in the help.
