Roku HDCP 2.2 issues

I have recently run into an issue where my Roku Premier+ will blank out on and off (black screen for 3-4 seconds) and eventually gives me a purple screen that says HDCP 2.2 error... I then have to unplug the HDMI cable from each end, unplug the Roku, re-plug everything and it will work properly for 1-2 days before the process begins again. I have ensured that all of my involved equipment (Samsung UN55KU6500, Roku) have fully updated firmware. I have replaced my HDMI cable with a new high-speed fully compatible cable. Still the same issue.
I have looked this up online and found multiple forums that discuss this issue with no real solutions. The unusual thing is that, until about one month ago, all of this worked flawlessly (same TV and Roku). My wife and I got new living room furniture and had to move the A/V equipment to our new media cabinet. Originally I used the same cables plugged into the same TV inputs. I really don't understand. Apparently, this is a huge issue for many people and also seems to affect the 4K Apple TV.
Does anyone have any input about this or have any of you experienced this issue? I must stress that I have tried new cables, updated firmware, changing inputs, eliminating my A/V receiver from the lineup to eliminate one point of failure, cursing (that helped me more than anything), etc.I finally purchased a Roku streaming stick+ to eliminate the HDMI cable completely although that has caused me to lose features that I want in the regular unit such as wired network. But I certainly can't continue the way it is going.
I would love to hear anyone else's experiences or advice on this issue. Thank you in advance!

I went through roughly two months of pain and suffering with my Roku Ultra. It worked great for a little while and then it experienced some of the same problems that you're having. And support from Roku isn't the greatest. They'll blame everything but their box. Not sure where you read that Apple TV 4K has these issues cause I haven't seen it at all on the ATV. And I know several people with ATVs and non have ever mentioned any issues.

My advice is to cut your losses now and move on to something that works.

Agreed. I ordered a Roku Streaming Stick+ and hooked it up last night. So far so good, but time will tell. The reason I got the streaming stick+ is that, on the various forums, most owners said there are no issues with HDCP as there is no HDMI cable between the stick and the input. Not sure how accurate that is but I figured it is worth a try.
I do admit that the Apple TV information was not from personal experience, so I can't speak for Apple. If this Roku starts having the same issue, I will move to Apple. I did try the Fire TV (new 4k version) and returned it promptly. It had serious performance issues, especially when compared to a Roku. It was very slow loading video, buffered more often, and overall I still do not care for the home page layout.

Yeah the GUI on Roku was the one positive thing out of that whole experience.

I like the ROKU GUI better than any of them, but the woes of handshakes with various other products are endless... enough was enough for me. Been happy with the Shield TV Pro for quite a while, although it was not without a hiccup early on that cause me to have to replace it.

I noticed that Roku has a new 2017 model Ultra. Mine was the 2016 model that I had so many issues with.

Keep us updated on the Stick Plus. The only thing I'd really be concerned about there is my WiFi connection is not that great in my theater room.

I was reading reviews of the latest Roku Ultra on Amazon and this is what one owner wrote:
I got the same issue as others with HDCP error. To fix this, go to System, advanced system settings, advanced display settings and disable auto-adjust display refresh rate. Problem gone! I haven't had one HDCP error since and I got it every time I switched channels.

Huh? Maybe I'll have to revisit the Ultra.

I ordered one up to see if it works... will keep you posted.

I had actually read this as well. Unfortunately it did not correct my issue. Sigh.
On another note, I am really liking the streaming stick+. While I miss the ability to direct wire my network cable, everything else is working well. Luckily my wi-fi router is also in my entertainment center so the signal is very strong.

I had issues when I was using the Yamaha processor and the JVC projector, so maybe between the NAD and Epson that I have now, it will work. We will see... if not, it's an easy return to Amazon.
