Hi!
I have a problem at exporting filters at the end of calibration with Dirac Life, using a UMIK-1 microphone (on laptop with Windows 11): I successfully made 9 measurements, and after finishing exporting the 3 filters (after each one I got the message: successfully exported to Pioneer LX305), still I dont have a "successfuly finished" message, or ok, or something to end the calibration procedure. I am left at same filter export section and I have the option either to go back to filter design, or re-export the filters and replacing the existing (already exported) filters...Why is that?
Additionally, there is no mentioning of anything related to Dirac Live in the menu from Pioneer settings, so apparently the filters didn't get there.

I did disable Avast antivirus completely and Windows defender firewalls prior to running Dirac Live measuring.

What did I do wrong?
I attach screenshots of graphs for the 5 speakers.

Thank you for your help.

Later note: is it possible that all this is due to the fact that I didn't buy a license for Dirac Live, as I thought it's included with Pioneer LX305? Maybe the Dirac Live calibration is only possible for this receiver if I use their supplied (basic) microphone and their Dirac Live app on the phone?

Make sure you save your project in Dirac, then click the export filter button in the lower right part of the screen.

Beware, you'll likely need to go back into the settings menu on your AVR and confirm that your crossover and speaker settings are correct. They might change.

Hi, in the mean time I returned the Pioneer 305 as I simply couldn't calibrate the speakers with it using Dirac Live and Umik1. I also tried with the app provided by Pioneer but this time I didn't even find Dirac Live listed in it...at which point I decided I had enough and returned both the Pioneer and Umik1...

Now back to my initial hesitation between Marantz 6007 and NAD T758 V3i - should I switch to stereo and buy the Marantz (paired with Topping E30II, for the USB port, and also for its DAC), or should I keep using all my MA BX2, BXC and BXFX speakers and buy the NAD - but settle for less quality&musicality in sound? The irony being that, should I choose the Nad, I may order back the Umik-1 I just returned...But of course this is for another thread I should start soon.

The Swede: thank you for the heads-up, truth is while listening to Pioneer (which I have no idea if it had the speakers calibrated or it was using just a light/pre-calibration) at some point, for some 10-15 seconds, I did hear a strange noise while playing music, as if there was something (very) wrong interfering with the electric/electronic circuit: I quickly closed the Pioneer then restarted it and I didnt hear that worrisome noise in the speakers (it was not coming from the receiver). I did check the bindings of speaker cables and they seemed all right. Dont know what to do atm, as I don't see myself opening the right front speaker to check it. For some reason I didnt yet install back the Denon 2113, but will do it tomorrow - and then be able to see if that noise appears again. Fingers crossed.

It's an easy check if the tweeter is not working. Just play music and put your ear close to the tweeter and do the same with the left channel tweeter, if its broken you will hear it. Generally UNIK-1 is very useful whatever you decide to do, you can use REW (free) to check your speakers or if your calibrations are as expected, very useful to figure out what wrong or how to improve the overall response.

I don't know the units you refer too but if you think you have to choose between 2ch and multichannel for quality and musicality that is not correct even though it will be more expensive with multichannel as you need more power amps, speakers etc to reach the SQ level from each channel however more channels will give you additional dimensions and not to be ignored all channels will share the effort so each amp and speaker will be a little less stressed or dynamically challenged.

Are you logged into your Dirac Live account? You need to have done this previously so that Dirac can access their server.
Can you check the "corrected spectrum" box and see the predicted results? If not, you either have an issue with your login or license.

The Swede: by tomorrow I'll find out if the right front speaker is still ok.

Todd Anderson, deercreekaudio: thanks but it's a thing of the past anyway, as I've returned the Pioneer and the UMIK-1. I will use again Dirac Live if I'll buy the Nad T758, but I'm not sure if to order again the UMIK-1or to use the mic provided by NAD. It's to be postponed after we return from the holiday at the end of May.
