open measurement and correction files from previous version

I installed XO 6.17 on a new PC after previously using 6.0. I have a new license installed.
When I try to open measurement files or correction files that I made in 6.0, I get a message that the file was made with another license and can't be opened.
This makes no sense.
Is there some import procedure I need to know about?

Yes, the measurements were made with XO 6.0.

The measurements are foreard compatible.

Do you have a license for 6.17?

Yes, I got the license yesterday because it is a new laptop.The license is installed.
