Leonard invited me to take a look at the new forum. I am an ex-AK (rarely go there), very active at TapeHeads.net and The ProSquad forums. I've been in service since 1978, so I think I know all there is to know about everything. Please forgive me in advance when I err. I hope to help folks here with service related issues. My home theater experience goes waaay back to the Advent 1000A videobeam and the ADS surround synthesizer. I've been an authorized Pioneer service company for 20 years, so I am a bit biased towards plasma.
My screen name Nakdoc comes from a concert taper who would bring in his Nakamichi 550 cassette deck before heading out on a concert tour.

Hi Nakdoc, welcome aboard!

It will be good to have your years of knowlage and input hear at AV NIRVANA

Great to see you hear, Tom. As we start to settle in and get an idea of the kinds of issues people look for help with we will set up something for service and support related discussion. Hey, everyone, from a service perspective, if you thought I knew a lot, Tom really does know just about everything, and The Pro Squad is a group of the best, most experienced techs in the country. I felt like an amateur among them.

Welcome aboard, glad you could join us.

Glad to have you with us Tom!

I use to own some Nakamichi amps and a car audio headunit of all things.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have your wealth of knowledge as part of the community.

Welcome aboard Tom!

Hi Tom! Thanks for making AV NIRVANA a home ;-) Sounds like you'll bring a ton of experience to the table! Awesome!

Welcome, Tom!

I will be checking in about once a week. Thank you all for the welcome. Building a forum from the ground up is not easy!
