Wow, thats quite the setup just for a CD player! My cousin still owns the Nakamichi RX-505 tape deck (the one that the auto reverse literally opens up the door and flips the tape around) I would love to get one of those vintage decks but used they still fetch alot of money.

Wasn't Nakamichi considered the 'gold' standard?
 
They were no doubt one of the high-end guys back in the day. They had some great looking amps that were rather huge and heavy.

I actually used a couple of their car audio amps in one of my car installs back in the 80's. They also made a headunit with cassette that was pretty cool looking for back then.
