Hello John,
I am under High Sierra OSX 10.13.6, REW last version and build, 5.20 Beta 15.
I have created a multi output device but REW give me back this message:

Just for information, multi output devices never worked on REW, but works on some other software.
Thank you,
Best regards.

Can you attach the soundcard debug file REW generates when you have a multi output device configured? Use the Generate debug file button on the Souncard preferences to generate it.

Hi John,
here two logs, N°1 is after just selecting the multi out device, the N°2 is after playing the Generator and having back the message sent you before.

Which devices are in the multi output group? Is drift correction selected for the slave device(s)?

Edit: there doesn't seem to be a fundamental issue with multi-output devices, I created one from the built-in output and a USB soundcard and REW worked normally using the multi output device.

Ok,
checked with one Scarlett and the default audio card on my mac and it works, if I put the two USB Scarlett it doesn't.

Odd. What clock rate was the multi output device set up for? How about if you make a device with the built-in output and the two Scarletts?

the sampling rate was 44.100KHz. With 2 Scarletts and the built-in output together doesn't work, same message.

Worth trying with a different sample rate when creating the multi-output device, 48 kHz perhaps, but I'm only guessing at what might help, sorry.

I'm presuming you are seeing the message when you turn off the signal generator? It may be safe to ignore it.

Have you tried making a sweep measurement?

Yes the message appear whe I turn off the generator.
If I make a sweep measurement the generator get stuck:

There might be an error message in the log files from the sweep measurement attempt, they are in the REW folder in ~/Library/Logs. I'm not sure how I could go about fixing this though.

No clues there, sorry, other than an attempt to show too many error messages if the output can't be written to - I've fixed that but I have no idea why the multi output doesn't work with two USB devices.
