from theverge,
"About a week ago, MoviePass announced it was replacing its $15 to $50 tiered subscription plan with a flat fee of $9.95 a month. The price drop generated a lot of interest — so much that MoviePass now says it has already reached its 2018 subscriber goal.

MoviePass, which allows users to see one 2D film per day in certain theaters, now has more than 150,000 subscribers, up from 20,000 last December, Deadline reports."

Anybody here taking advantage of this $9.95 a month subscription to watch one movie in the theater every day of the month?

Wow, I haven't heard of this, will have to look into it. That sounds like a deal.

yeah, this is big news.

For more details, see here.

UGH! why cant we get deals like that here in Canada, even with a Scene card from Ciniplex you cant get deals like that.

Wow! I hadn't heard of that either. That does sound like the deal!

A few of my co-workers took advantage of the price drop and they are seeing movies regularly now..

Remember when James Cameron said that movie prices would double or triple and people would get used to it and just pay it? I now go to the theater about once a year, usually on "cheap ticket" day or to a discount matinee.

Going to the theater is an expensive endeavor now for a family of 4.
