Maximizing Dynamic Range in Measurements

I have had a very strange scenario occur as of late. I was able to routinely get 'excellent' levels of dynamic range in my measurements and then I made some changes and swapped out my dome tweeters for far more efficient compression drivers that are waveguide loaded and switched out my midrange for a more efficient Eminence Alpha midrange in my modular speaker configuration. The result was that I lost my ability to get measurements that resulted in 'excellent' dynamic range.

I went through and level matched all of my drivers by changing gain settings on the amplifiers so that everything is within a few DB of each other when taking the measurement. I am getting almost completely maximized recording levels when taking a sweep, I'm literally 1 to 2 bars away from clipping on every driver and yet I'm still getting only 'Good' dynamic range.

What factors go into getting a measurement that maximizes dynamic range? Any tips and tricks?

Thanks!

John
