Hi John,

I have recently discovered a software called LinFIR, which allows the creation of FIR filters with exceptional simplicity and ergonomics.
Are you familiar with this tool? (https://linfir.demaudio.com/)
I have been a long-time user of REW, and I need to export my Impulse Responses (IR) in WAV format to LinFIR. For some reason, while LinFIR imports the files correctly, the resulting level is extremely low. I am not sure if this can be corrected using the export settings window in REW.
Here are the parameters I am currently using:

Fenêtre export REW.jpg

If I check 'Normalize samples to peak', I lose the relative levels between my drivers. However, without it, the signal-to-noise ratio in LinFIR seems suboptimal. What is the best practice to maintain the correct gain structure between several exported IRs?
Thanks in advance for your reply!

Assuming you are using the V5.40 beta build you can scale the impulse response data by right clicking on the IR graph. Make sure to scale all the responses by the same amount.

There is an 8 page thread on ASR where the author of LinFIR (Arnwald) hangs out and answers questions: link

Hi John,
Apparently, the link to the V5.40 beta build isn't working?

Keith, I've already gone through the dedicated ASR thread, but I couldn't find the answer to my question there.
Nor did I find one in the dedicated diyaudio thread:
So I’ll just wait until the version at the V5.40 beta build works again...
