(August 7, 2026) Audio Advice Live 2026 is officially underway in Raleigh, and Klipsch is using the show as a launching pad for the next evolution of one of its most recognizable speaker families. The company has unveiled Reference Premiere III, a new nine-model lineup delivering updated acoustics, refined industrial design, and flexible home theater options to a broader range of listeners. For Klipsch and its celebration of 80 years of business, the launch gives attendees a first, early look at a refreshed Reference Premiere platform built for everything from high-performance two-channel systems to full immersive theaters.
The Reference Premiere III lineup includes three floorstanding models: RP-8263FA with integrated Dolby Atmos height drivers, RP-8020F, and RP-6203F. The series also includes two monitor speakers, RP-6103M and RP-5103M, along with two center channel models, RP-5203C and RP-5403C. For surround and height applications, Klipsch is offering the RP-5203S surround speaker and RP-5103SA Dolby Atmos surround and height module. That gives the new series enough flexibility to support traditional stereo setups, compact media rooms, and larger multichannel systems with dedicated height effects.
At the heart of the Reference Premiere III Series is a new high-density axial Tractrix horn tweeter made with upgraded BMC material. Klipsch says the design helps reduce resonance, while the horn is now flush-mounted to the cabinet to minimize wave breakup and improve off-axis response. In practical terms, the goal is a wider sweet spot and cleaner, more consistent sound across a room. The speakers also carry Klipsch’s signature copper Cerametallic woofers, which remain a central part of the brand’s visual identity.
Cabinet design also gets attention. The Reference Premiere III Series introduces new knife-edge cabinets designed to improve structural rigidity while giving the speakers a cleaner, more contemporary look. Floorstanding models include adjustable metal outrigger feet for improved stability and positioning, while also helping to isolate the cabinet from the floor and reduce resonance. Floating fabric grilles, updated rear input panels, and the aforementioned black and copper aesthetic round out the series’ more polished appearance.
Running hand-in-hand with modern audio demands, Immersive playback is a major part of the RP III story. The flagship RP-8263FA floorstanding speaker includes integrated upfiring height drivers for Dolby Atmos playback, giving users a more streamlined path to height effects without adding separate modules. For systems that need more flexibility, the RP-5103SA can be placed on top of compatible floorstanding or bookshelf speakers as a Dolby Atmos elevation module, or mounted to the wall for surround or height channel duty. That makes it easier for buyers to build an Atmos system around the room they have, without needing to run wires for true dedicated channels.
Klipsch is also positioning Reference Premiere III as part of a larger system ecosystem. For listeners who want more low-frequency output, the speakers are designed to pair with Klipsch Reference Premiere Subwoofers, which now include a choice of compact sealed or larger ported models. That gives owners a cleaner path to building a complete home theater system with matching design language and more substantial bass output. And for users pairing the speakers with compatible Onkyo A/V receivers, Klipsch Optimized Mode can automatically apply crossover settings for select models, simplifying setup and helping systems perform closer to spec without extra guesswork.
All models in the series are scheduled to be available in October through Klipsch.com and authorized Klipsch retailers. Pricing is set at $1,299.99 each for the RP-8263FA Dolby Atmos floorstanding speaker, $799.99 each for the RP-8020F floorstanding speaker, $699.99 each for the RP-6203F floorstanding speaker, $699.99 per pair for the RP-6103M bookshelf speakers, $549.99 per pair for the RP-5103M bookshelf speakers, $749.99 each for the RP-5203C center channel speaker, $449 each for the RP-5403C center channel speaker, $849.99 per pair for the RP-5203S surround speakers, and $649.99 per pair for the RP-5103SA Dolby Atmos surround and height module speakers.
