(July 1, 2026) Klipsch is taking its partnership with Christopher Nolan's upcoming film, The Odyssey, beyond theaters and into collectors' hands by introducing a limited-edition Bluetooth speaker inspired by Odysseus's legendary sword. Limited to just 2,500 units worldwide, the release transforms one of the company's existing portable speakers into a cinematic collectible that blends rugged styling with the proven performance of Klipsch's Music City Series.
The collaboration follows last month's announcement naming Klipsch and sister brand Onkyo as exclusive audio partners for The Odyssey, Nolan's latest epic and the first feature film shot entirely with IMAX cameras using newly developed camera technology. Now, that partnership has produced its first piece of official merchandise, giving movie fans and audio enthusiasts something a bit more substantial than the typical commemorative collectible.
Based on the Klipsch Detroit portable Bluetooth speaker, this limited-edition model receives a dramatic visual makeover that immediately separates it from the standard version. Gone is the Detroit's black finish, replaced by a battle-worn aesthetic inspired by Odysseus' weapon of choice. Rich brown tones, brass accents, distressed detailing, and a leather-style carrying strap give the speaker the look of an artifact that's survived an ancient adventure rather than something fresh off a production line. And the top panel carries embossing referencing the film, solidifying its status as an official collector's piece.
Underneath the refreshed exterior remains the Detroit platform, featuring dual 1" tweeters, dual 3" woofers, four force-canceling 3" passive radiators, and a 60-watt RMS amplifier configuration designed to deliver full-range sound. Klipsch rates frequency response at 55Hz to 20kHz with maximum output reaching 93dB. The speaker also carries an IP67 dust- and waterproof rating, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, more than 20 hours of battery life, USB-C fast charging with reverse charging capability, Broadcast Mode for linking more than ten compatible Klipsch speakers, and app-based EQ adjustments through the Klipsch Connect Plus app.
The Klipsch "The Odyssey" Limited Edition Speaker is available now for $499.99 through Klipsch.com and select authorized retailers, including Amazon and RC Willey.
