Hi everyone! New member sending best wishes to all. This is my first online forum; I joined mainly because I’m now using REW (another first). I’m a bit of an anachronism, as I am interested almost exclusively in stereo and rarely watch movies.
I’d be interested if anyone can give me some tips on using REW to verify Dirac Live measurements.
Thanks!

Welcome to AV NIRVANA! Take some time and look over the REW Support forum. You may find some tips there.

Glad to have you with us... two of my favorites... REW and DL. :T

Welcome to the forum. Your first one? I might be biased, but this is a good one!

Thanks, guys. To this point, I’ve only used REW to take full system pink noise measurements of specific Dirac projects. I then made corresponding adjustments to the Dirac curves to counter a couple of bass boosts. Simple but actually quite effective. I’ll follow your advice and check out the REW support forum for more detailed information.

REW is pretty much an Acoustics Lab at this stage. I find it hard to keep up with increasing new features. Also the current versions run slowly on my ageing computers, and do not work at all with my aged UMIK.
So for a learner, I would recommend an old version of REW. Less, faster, and a much easier drive. I use DL every day I work in a Pro Studio. I interact with Dirac a bit, and am delighted that they have retrospectively fixed the latest version to work with earlier OSX versions.
Thanks Flavio! The DL GUI is just indicative compared to REW, but it is capable of displaying individual channels, response as measured, Eq applied, and fwiw, predicted result.

Thanks, DanDan. I’m a lot more comfortable with Dirac at this point, as I used it for quite a while before downloading REW. I have a Mac as well...thank goodness Dirac is compatible with os Catalina.
