Hello all from Eastern North Carolina. I have been lurking ever since the speaker shoot outs at AVS. I have even ended up with one Chane a2.4 That has really made my HT experience a lot better. Clear center channel now as I suspect my elderly NHT Super Center needs crossover work. I do not have any high priced equipment now, ony been looking around for some replacement stuff for my old gear. I was introduced to Hi-Fi by my father. Electro Voice 12TRXB's and Knight Kit gear.
Thanks for having me and I hope there might be something I could help with. Right now I am working on digitizing 24 cassettes for a friend.
Thanks

leecreek

Hi leecreek and welcome to AV NIRVANA... glad to have you on board with us.

Hey leecreek! Glad you've decided to join and participate... you'll enjoy being part of this community!

Sounds like you might be on your way to updating your system. One of the beauties of this hobby is that you don't need super expensive high-end gear to experience a great home theater experience! Setting up your gear correctly and getting your room acoustics under control (which also can be inexpensive) will go a long way to sweet sound.

Stick around...ask questions... share your experiences. Look forward to seeing you on the forum!

Welcome to AV NIRVANA! I will be moving to Marion, NC in a couple of months, we might just run into each other.

Hello, leecreek, and welcome!

I have 5 of the Chane A2rx-c, so I know you must enjoy the latest A2.4. Cheers!

Welcome to AV NIRVANA leecreek. Thank you for joining us! Tell us about how you digitize those tapes.

Cassette player to Yamaha 2092. Record out to a Y splitter. One side of Y goes back into another input on the Yamaha. Other side goes out to a ART eq355. Then it runs to a Alienware Area 51's Soundblaster Audigy Gold sound card. I use CDEX 151 direct to wav files. Then the side is tracked using software I bought and at the moment they are being stored on a thumb drive as wav and MP3. I have 25 more to go. It will take a while as I do not appreciate the music much.
