I'm a member of various AV and computer forums under various names - phillip or gorb are what I mostly use nowadays.

I don't post a lot, but I enjoy learning and reading about neat stuff. My other hobby is beer :D

Cheers!

Glad to have you with us phillip .... how did you hear about us?

Hi Phillip, welcome aboard. Beer is a hobby of mine as well, both brewing and drinking it.

Hi Sonnie, I'm sure we've interacted once or twice back on HTS. I discovered AV NIRVANA via a facebook post by Jeff/JTR about the Captivator 118 giveaway :)

Hi Mark. I might get into brewing one day (if I get the time and space) but in the meantime I just drink it. My program manager has recently started homebrewing and has given me a couple. However, I'm into stouts and he's an IPA guy so they haven't been my style of beer. They were still good though.

Thanks for the welcome!

Yep... sounds about right. Good deal on the FB post. I hope we can get the giveaway posted on our end pretty quickly.

I'm fond of Stouts and Porters myself. Have been brewing my own for 20 some odd years.

Awesome. I only started drinking beer about six years ago. Anchor Porter was the one that got me into craft beer in Feb 2012. Most of my favorites now are barrel-aged stouts (expensive :() but I can't pick one specific beer as a favorite. I also really like quads and belgian strong dark ales and dubbels.

We just bought our house last May and it needs a lot of work. Maybe after a few years I can start a homebrew setup in a closet or something like that.

All it really takes for basic brewing is a large pot, couple food grade buckets w/lids, an air lock, some bottles, caps and a capper.

Good to have you here Phillip!
