(August 11, 2021) The Florida Audio Expo is returning to the audio scene, announcing plans to open its doors next year. Organizers say the event will kick off on Friday, February 18 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Airport Weshorte hotel. For complete details, including show dates and cost, read the official press release, below.

Tampa’s finest audio extravaganza is back for 2022! The third annual Florida Audio Expo is happening February 18–20, 2022 (Friday–Sunday), at the newly refurbished Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore hotel. The show will host the industry’s finest brands in more than 70 exhibit rooms, as well as in a new Marketplace area. Qobuz will return as the official streaming service.

Also new for 2022, the Florida Audio Expo will charge admission: $15 for Friday only, or $30 for all three days; students and spouses will be admitted free of charge, while first responders and military personnel will receive 50% off the ticket price. Consumers can buy tickets directly from the Expo’s website beginning September 18, 2021.

“We are thrilled to have our third annual show at the Embassy Suites Westshore,” said Bart Andeer, co-founder and operations manager of the Florida Audio Expo. “The convenience of being just minutes from the airport and downtown is a bonus for exhibitors and attendees alike. The 2022 show will be an exciting opportunity to once again share our passion for music and sound, and for attendees to experience new audio products from all over the world.”

The Florida Audio Expo is within convenient driving distance to such local attractions as Busch Gardens and the Florida Aquarium, and just an hour’s drive from Walt Disney World.

Going again, of course. It’s great chance to see and hear things new. :)

In answer to your next question... "yes," you can snap tons of pictures and post them in this thread ;-))

Happy to. :) There's always a ton of eye candy. The visual experience is at least as good, if not better than, the auditory.

Here's a few things I have on my "wish list" to give a listen to, but who knows if they'll be exhibited... yet.
Perlisten S7T (with luck Matt Poes will show up with these)
Dutch & Dutch 8C
JBL M2

These are some that are as near to the Spinorama definition of perfect as it gets. And I understand that listening at a show means zip, or less than zip probably, but its likley the only place I;d get the chance to hear them. That is unless @jtwrace wants to invite a neighbor over for a listen sometime.;)

JTR - Jeff didn't make the previous two and with his backlog this seems highly unlikely (my speculation only).
Chane L - Jon Lane was not at the first two either and he's just down the road. Maybe with the new series he'll see value in exhibiting. Hope so anyway. I think the L series holds a lot of promise.
Paradigm has been at the previous two. This time I hope they show up with something from the new Founders Series.

Beyond these I look forward to the inevitable fun surprises and chatting with fellow enthusiasts.

Hope some of y'all can make it too!

Once everything is officially setup and ready you're welcome anytime. In fact, you could come now if you just want to get a taste.

Thanks! I'll shoot you a pm.
Will you be be going to the expo?
I plan on it but tough to even think 6 months ahead anymore. Also noticed the rooms are $200+ per night now.

Week end mornings the drive's not bad if no one bumps into each other on I-4. I live in Clermont, so I've got a couple of options to get there and back.

Also noticed the rooms are $200+ per night now.

For that kind of money I'd be looking for a place a little bit more and a lot nicer. Not beach weather that time of year. Like to think there's lots better options close by.

Feb in Tampa is peak season pricing. There are beaches 5 min away.

Shorts weather

I suspect I might be making this trip... gotta get down that way and it ain't all that far.

I need some showtime with new audio gear for sure. Not sure I'm going to be able to make RMAF.

Ain't wearing a mask either.

That’s great! Hope you do get to make the trip.

Was audioholics disinvited??

No, just no longer an event sponsor. The hotel is a public space, no one can be "uninvited".
That said, suggested for both Gene and Sonnie:

Looks like RMAF is toast. Permanently.
Not good

Exactly. Change can be good..I don't understand why people are so up in arms over it. I went 12 or so times and didn't go again. Change was needed. Axpona has their own issues too. Perhaps the FL show will turn into something even stronger than it was the first year. Then again I was banned from his site so maybe he won't do a great job with the show. :p

And why exactly is my name mentioned in the same sentence (or post for that matter) as Gene?
