DirecTV quietly made the switch from Sonic Tap to Music Choice a while ago and I've been giving it a chance ever since. Yeah, still leaves a lot to be desired.
Back when I had Dish Network and Sirius I took for granted that the music programming was pretty good with a lot of choice. Then the merger with XM came along and I really didn't notice much change. Couple years later I moved, no longer had the choice of Dish (well, still possible but...), it was DirecTV and Sonic Tap. Well, for as often as I used the service, it was okay. Not as good as Sirius XM but I could live with it. Then about 4 months ago DircTV quietly switched to Music Choice. I've given it 4 months but, it's just not my thing. Not sure how to explain it but it seems as though every channel/station plays the most "pop" music of it's genre.
Yeah, just complaining and a little frustrated, wondering if it's just me. I know I could throw in a CD or plug in the computer but I'm still paying for something I don't care for. Wouldn't be so bad if the Pandora app actually worked on DirecTV.
