Yeah... I don't get it. How in the world can they put Bama at #2. I'm not so sure we look like the second best team right now. I'm more impressed with Oklahoma and Ohio State than anyone other than Georgia. And Cincinnati ... seriously? Maybe #5, then we know at least 1 of the current top 4 are going to lose eventually, which would move them to #4, unless maybe Bama did somehow beat the Dogs, then Georgia might not drop out of the top 4. We could see back to back Bama vs Georgia games. I dunno... just doesn't seem right keeping Cinci out of it with them whooping up on the Irish like they did.
Nebraska isn't doing too good again.
We lost to #3 Michigan St by 3 points in overtime (Michigan St wasn't able to get a 1st down the entire 2nd half!)
We lost to #7 Michigan by 3 points
We lost to #8 Oklahoma by 7 points
This weekend we play #5 Ohio St followed by #21 Wisconsin and #22 Iowa.

As much as I hate to say it... something about Steve Frost just isn't jiving with the team. I was expecting so much more from him, but something isn't right about it all. I'm scratching my head really.
I wonder if Hugh Freeze will have anything for Lane this weekend ... could be an interesting game at Ole Miss.
Auburn at Texas A&M could be a good one.
Nothing else really jumping out at me as being super exciting. Texas keeps blowing their leads, so even if they give Iowa State any competition they'll figure out a way to blow it in the 4th. Clemson and Louisville might be interesting.

I have to believe that if Bama loses another game they would not stay ahead of Cinci... unless the strange really happened, like Bama losing a game and then somehow beating Georgia, which might keep them both in the top 4. But I don't see Bama beating Georgia and that will be the way Cinci gets in, providing they win out.
Saved some of their best for today, that’s for sure.
Guess we’ll get the lowdown on Metchie tomorrow. Needless to say to say he’ll be missed if he’s out for the season.
Looks like Metchie is out... won't play. That hurts, but hopefully someone will step up.
Cincinnati is going to have a LOT that they want to prove, mainly that they deserve to be where they are, so they are going to be a tough out.
I don't know what to make of Georgia vs Michigan... that could be a defensive game, as both defenses are really good. I know Georgia's defense didn't show up that well for Bama, but that game has been their only hiccup this year. I have to believe Kirby will have them better prepared for the playoffs. Then you have Harbaugh that has something to prove as well, so he should have Michigan prepared fairly well.
Interesting to see some different teams in there, and while it would be candles on the cake icing for us to win, I'm fine if someone else takes it this year.
lol... keeping my slim hopes up that we can do it one more time, but you have to believe Georgia is going to get it done at some point in time. Seriously, how long can they be Bama jinxed?
Well, it was a dogfight for sure, up until the 4th quarter and we lost our fight. It was not our year... it was the DAWGS year! Congrats to Kirby and the team. They were the most consistent team all year and they deserve it. I am happy for them. Another Sabanite gets a National Championship.
It was easy to see that Byrce didn't have the receivers, not having Metchie, and losing Williams too, it clearly hurt our offense, along with Georgia bringing the pressure. These young guys couldn't separate, and when they did they dropped too many balls. They appear to have potential, particularly Brooks. Maybe Hall will come along eventually too. My guess is William and Metchie will probably go pro this year, so we'll have our work cut out for us to develop some good receivers.
Our defense did improve throughout the year, so I hope that's a good sign for next year. Maybe they'll help give Bryce another chance at a title. There sure seems to be a lot of good teams out there that will be contending for all the marbles.
Until next season... it will be here before we know it... Lord willing... Roll Tide!
I didn’t have a dog in this fight (he-he…), but I missed the fireworks. As an impartial fan, the first half was pretty boring. I fell asleep!
Sonnie nailed it - losing your two biggest WR weapons was too much to overcome. Bryce’s timing was off with what he had left.
Hats off to Stetson. A walk on! The first walk-on to beat a Saban coached team since Brian Griese at Michigan the mid-1990s. Really cool to see a walk on realize such an amazing achievement.
