How do we calibrate the level in the Generator? It mentions that "the rms output must be measured while the signal generator is playing the sine. A frequency near the mains is recommened for best results with a voltmeter."

So are we putting the two rods of the volt meter on the outputs of the amplifier to get a voltage reading then entering it?

And a frequency near the "mains" what that mean?

That means something like 50…60 Hz, because most simple voltmeters are calibrated for those low frequencies. If you have a better Voltmeter that is calibrated for higher frequencies, you may also use 1 kHz or 10 kHz. It must match the specifications of your voltmeter. By doing this you get a voltage value, and you just enter it in the dialog.

Thanks for reply, okay so i'll use 50hz or 60hz. But I am still struggling on how to use the voltmeter and where exactly we are conecting it to in order to get the reading?

Where are we getting the voltage output from? Output of amplifier?

Sometimes the simplest things are the hardest to understand because many presume that its self explanatory so sorry for the amatuer question.

Voltage is measured on output of amp.

If you do not have a Line Output, a Headphone Output will work.
