Hi all,
I'm using REW for the first time and have already read/seen a couple of tutorials.
I have some raw measurement data but not sure how to interpret these results and what to modify in my home theater setup to get some significant improvement if possible.
First things first, a short description of my setup : it is a living room so almost no leverage about speakers or listening positions
. And unconventionally, the system is oriented in the room diagonal , so TV and front speakers are in one corner.
Regarding equipment, I have an Anthem MRX710 with Monitor Audio bookshelves (GX50 and GXC50 for font, silver 50 for surround and radius 90 for back). Subwoofer is a SVS sealed SB13Ultra.
Until now, I've set the crossover frequency to the very common 80Hz and let the AVR autocalibration do the job, and even though I experimented a bit different xover values, I've always felt something is missing during movies. indeed, I may miss some impact - sometimes big explosions sound like unexpectedly attenuated.
So here I am with some raw measurement I've just done. no ARC active and several xover frequencies.
I hope someone could help me getting in the right direction to determine which xover would be preferable if any
Thanks a lot for your support
Mickael
