I will try to see this... curious at least.

Very interesting, but I wish he had explained what Auro-matic's Dolby Atmos and DTS-X support for Yamaha receivers consists of.

Hey Will!

Not quite sure what you mean... do you mean using Auromatic to run the show for an Atmos or DTS:X encoded film?

On the Yamaha A8A and A6A receivers, Auro-matic supports Dolby Atmos and DTS-X. I don't know how Auro works in this circumstance

Will AURO-CX streaming be available on Firestick 4K devices which have 24bit audio capability ?

Theoretically. It’s a scalable codec where one stream can be unpacked to suit the needs of any device’s capability

Ah. Yes, you can use Auromatic to playback X and Atmos content. What you get is essentially an upmixed take on the audio presentation, much like you’d hear if the source material were a legacy codec like DTS HD MA or TrueHD.

How exactly that works, I’m not sure. BUT, hang tight and I’ll see if we can get a direct answer from Bert at Aurio.

I did get to hear a AURO-CX Demo and it was impressive and greatly improved streaming audio. I am looking forward to more widespread availability in the future for streaming services. Sign Me Up.
