Audyssey MQX using Inversion FIR filters?

I've been watching a lot of OAC's videos on YouTube. I noticed a commonality between the Audyssey MQX software OAC's videos on FIR Filters using inversion. Are these using similar techniques with FIR filters?

As an aside, I really like the 4 part video(s) OAC put out about the bass array, filter inversion, then phase speaker and excess phase filters.
