Can you set up speakers for Atmos incorporating front wides?

In other words instead of front heights and wides use 2 overheads and 2 front wides? Is it possible?

When an atmos track is not available does Dolby DTX or NEO incorporate the two ceiling speakers?

I have found the below image setup but the angles and distance of some of the speakers would be problematic in my room. Such as my front wides being that close to the sitting area.
Also my speakers are the Polk RTIA series. What would be a match to use as ceiling speakers? Also my ceiling is vaulted so I would need speakers which could be properly mounted.

Ultimately I would like to do a modified 9.4.4 Atmos setup (using the front heights and wides 11.4.2) ...but the denon AVR-X7200WA only handles 11 total channels. Is there a A/V receiver that can do 13 channels?

Any comments, suggestions. Or should I just stay with DTX and NEO and leave my speakers were they are.

I don't think the front wides are going to give you the same effect as front heights. Those are designed to be overhead, so I can't see how it would work.

I am not aware of a receiver that does 13 channels. The new Emotiva RMC-1 processor is supposed to do 16 channels, but it's a 7.4.4 to 7.3.6 layout.
