Apple iPhone 8 (2017) event

Rumor is X Plus release next year. If the X has the screen real estate of the 8 plus in a 8 size what kinda real estate they gonna provide in a X Plus... furthermore what will be the cost $

I really doubt we see any screen larger than the X. Maybe they do a phone comparable in size to the Pluses that are all screen but I doubt it. My guess is the X will be perfect in both screen size and form factor.

So. My iPhone 6 is on life support. Battery lasts hours... super buggy... screen has been cracked and replaced TWICE.

This past week I'd had it with the battery constantly dying...and I decided to get an iPhone 8. I wanted the advanced cameras and knew the 8 Plus was going to be the model... until I held it.

It was just too big. I like the small form factor of my 6. So, I decided I'd set my alarm and wake up to preorder an X. This is the first time I've ever considered doing something silly (like interrupting sleep) for a phone. The only problem is: I thought the preorder was tonight...not last night!

LOL.

The good news is that I just logged into my carrier, and was able to preorder an X with an estimated delivery date of Nov 3 -10. So, I can hold out for a few more weeks. (And I'm glad I didn't get up in the middle of the night... this dude needs his sleep!)

Isn't the iphone X bigger than the 8? So, if you thought holding the 8 was too big, wouldn't the X have the same issue?

No... it's only slightly bigger than the 8... but significantly smaller than the 8 Plus

LOL... as far as I know, there isn't an X plus. If there were, the answer would be no! ;-)

I actually use my phone as my wallet (the case has a ID/ credit card holder on its back side... like this:

So size/form factor are super important. The smaller the better!

I’ve used a SILK case for the last two years (the one pictured above). It’s great. I removed a little springy piece of plastic that keeps 3 cards in place, and can successfully carry a drivers license, health ID, and three cards. You can buy it on amazon for $15. Highly recommend it!

Interesting to see if you will actually get it that early. My carrier site was down on launch so I ordered directly from Apple. Estimated date nov 17-dec 5.

I'm definitely curious to see if the phone ships on the earlier side. I'm really not an overly eager early adopter of this kind of tech, but my currently phone is losing 20-30% of battery in about 30 mins of use. Not to mention overall bugginess. This X had better be a solid performer! $1200 ain't cheap!

Gives me time to decide on the case.

Question..

When I get the new phone, I have to download all my apps, right? If so, I have to make a list of the apps I have on my existing phone..

I take it my contact list will stay??

Just back your phone up on your computer... the new one can load all that info
