So I got my new Onkyo RZ920 set up full review here: https://www.avnirvana.com/threads/official-onkyo-tx-rz920-review-discussion-thread.2130/

Below are the results after running AccuEQ (I like my sub a little hotter than the mains)
Thoughts?

Red line is sub only
Blue line is sub and mains together

Looking pretty good... I too like my subs to run hotter. Not much you could do with that 80Hz dip, other than move your sub around.

How does it sound?

It sounds great, that peak between 15 and 20Hz kicks butt. My pant legs vibrate with stuff that low :hsd:

It’s actually inline with the preference curve found in NRC’s research. This is not only what Floyd Toole seems to suggest but also Paul Barton. In my own experiments this is where I landed as well. I use different curves sometimes but this is my general preference.

If you don’t mind can you share the accueq results both on and off as a point of reference. I’ve always been curious how effective it is and where it does it’s business.

Everything looks good. You can probably smooth out the bass integrations with some tweaking but it may not sound a lot different.

Yeah looks like mostly impacts the bass and isn’t making a huge difference. It’s peobably good it works that way.
