What did you use to build your rack system?

What did you use to build your rack system?
Not sure I understand your question. I just bought a rack, cut a hole in the wall, framed it in and build something to hold it up.

Ah... I thought you might have DIYed the rack yourself.

Many moons ago, I built something that looks very similar from the front, but my back end was a giant wooden box with shelves and a removable back panel and that had several in/out cooling fans built-in. It worked, but airflow was always an issue. Eventually, I ran out of space and tore it apart.

Not sure why I didn't use a rack as you've done. I guess I didn't know any better!

The hardest part was running all the wires...

I can taste the dust just looking at those pictures!

The wife said I could buy new speakers if I hid the wires. So I hid the wires and got my 4 rear surrounds and 6 height speakers.

I would have been cutting before she finished her sentence.

Well done! Hiding the wires is really the only way to go... the finished look is worth it

She said that was the fastest most efficient work I had ever done. Too bad that she now knows what I am capable of.

Ha ha... well, you revealed your cards for a worthy cause

Looks great! Nice clean installation. Going the extra mile to hide and organize the wiring always pays off. I've inhaled volumes of various types of dust to achieve finished looking spaces and it's just as satisfying every time!

I'm really digging those recliners too.

How do you like the Paradigm and SVS paired with Emotiva?

I have had these speakers with a few receivers slowly adding more speakers and amps. Switching to the Emotiva was a huge upgrade in my opinion. It sounded great before running Dirac but amazing after. Very detailed. I hear more things in movies that I hadn’t heard before. Everyone likes to mention the issues Emotiva has had but I have been pretty happy with it. Yes it has some bugs that they are still working out but I have had issues with many other receivers too.

Just 2 cents. Just because everything looks so nice... The rack back wiring could use some cable management. Look at
